Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course for a good placement as the placement records are really good. The faculty-to-student ratio is good. Students have direct contact with teachers. Teachers are highly qualified and have good teaching skills. There are two exams in a semester-midsem and endsem. Exams are quite tough.

There are many drives that help the student get an internship in any year of the course. Several companies are there that provide internships like Deloitte, Walmart, One plus Microsoft, Infosys, and many more.

The placements in NIT Jalandhar are really good. The average package keeps on increasing year by year. The companies visited here are Microsoft, Deloitte, Capgemini, Oracle, Infosys, Wipro, Samsung, Amazon, Accenture, and many more.

Fees and Financial Aid

Public colleges and universities are often funded by the government. They run on the principle of no profit no loss. So fees are according to the norms of the government. The cost to study here is comparably low and affordable. Several scholarships are there which can be availed easily.

Campus Life

'Utkansh' is their annual cultural fest which attracts thousands of students across the country and 'techniti' is the techno-managerial student fest. There is an easy availability of books in NITJ. The library has more than 2 lacs books on record. All classrooms are well equipped with ACs, projectors, fans proper lighting, etc.

Hostel Facilities

In the first year, we will be given a 4 seater room with a bed, almirah, table, and chair. A high speed internet is also available . Clean washrooms,Clean drinking water coolers . Along with a TV room, a Table tennis room is also available for students. Food served in a mess is of good quality and taste.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

The admission process is very easy. I took a year drop for the preparation for JEE. I scored 98.6 on the first attempt. I secured a seat in the IT branch in NITJ during the CSAB round of counseling.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Honest is the best Policy

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is interactive and have added various new thing like in the engineering graphics subject they have added the software like autocad instead of traditional drawings... And in eme they provide the real life assignments projects . The exams are of approx 3 hrs and difficulty level is what that is taught in class

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
