Course Curriculum Overview

Currently, I am doing btech in computer science and engineering branch and this is the best course nowadays and course curriculum is somewhat hectic and classes are from 8 am to 5 pm so the schedule is very busy.

Class Size: 105Course Fees: INR 110000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities provided in our college are very good companies from world come every year and give internship opportunities for skilled students like Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft apple, etc.

Placement Experience

In terms of placement our college nit Jalandhar stands in a good position the average is about 18 lpa for cse department and it provides equal opportunity for all other branches and placement team is also very helpful.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure in this college is somewhat manageable and affordable it is around 8 to 10 lpa for the general category and for SC and St it is about 4 to 5 lpa and for income less than 1 lpa there is a fee waiver.

Campus Life

The campus of Nit Jalandhar is very good. It is spreading in about 250 acres of land and all the basic facilities are available in this college. The classroom is very big and the department buildings are well maintained.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel in Nit Jalandhar is very good especially when talking about first-year students bh1 is very good and mess facilities are best in the bh1 hostel. The food is hygienic and tasty also. And also sports facilities are provided in each hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

Admission is done through Jee mains exam and the cutoff for the sc category was around 1900 category rank this college is under the top 10 colleges and tier 1 so for the general category it may be the 98 percentile for admission in the Computer Science Engineering branch.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
