Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Computer science engineering because of my passion for computer science and yes also due to its package. The course curriculum is updated and now is applied from the 2023 batch onwards which will help. you to dive into the core knowledge of the department. the first year itself. The student-faculty ratio is also quite good at 1:10. Mid-term exams were conducted in 3 months but for the 2023 batch, it was conducted in 1 month. there is not such difficulty in passing the exams.

Internships Opportunities

One olus, microsoft, adobe and many more companies visit and recruit the students and give them a stipend also Many students gets ppo from the 2rd year or 3rd year itself which help them and also trains the juniors

Placement Experience

Students become eligible in the 4th semester itself. Big companies like Samsung Microsoft, and adobe visit the campus and hire students. The highest placement is 1,24,00,000 in the year 2021. In 2022 highest package is 54,00,000

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is maintained and due to many scholarship schemes, you will not face any difficulty here. You may get many scholarships like the Reliance scholarship scheme, Swami Dayanand Scholarship scheme and many more

Campus Life

Tech Fest known as Bharat Dhwani is conducted in October. The library has a lot of books for each department and you may come to at any time in the library and read any book be it from The department or any other. Claasroom are well maintained with lights fans and AC. Sports are held regularly. CDAO fun is the website name which is held by our senior Chetan Mittal sir.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are well maintained being it from electricity to everything . Meal quality is okish as there is not such any problem . Hostel process is quite smooth as u will not face any difficulty.

Hostel Fee: INR 35000 per year

Admission

Admission Eligibility for the course is 20 years. Through Jee Mains exam and Jossa councelling and CSAB you can get a seat in NIT Jalandhar by seeing your AIR or Category rank you have. Since it is the National Institute of Technology it has a 50% home state quota advantage for people living in Punjab. The admission process is smooth and you will not have any difficulty while taking admission here.

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
