Likes

The new infrastructure that is now made.
Th activites of various clubs for recreation.
The large size of the campus which is applaudable.

Course Curriculum Overview

I opted for instrumentation and control engineering as this branch deals with the controlling of electronic gadgets or robots and it is mainly a mixture of electronics and computer science engineering. The faculty here is very good and supportive of the research jobs also. There are a total of 106 students in the class out of which 24 are girls. The exams have been very difficult but most of the students manage to pass.

Class Size: 106Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Placement Experience

The placements are very good from the past years. The maximum package was 78 cr last year and the average package of the computer science branch was 28 lpa whereas that of our branch was 19 lpa which is. A pretty decent package.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is set by the central govt for the tuition, but the lower castes and economically weaker sections can enjoy zero tuition fees. Though the mess and hostel fees have to be filled by the students, there are a number of scholarships every year and the students can avail the education loans too.

Campus Life

The life on campus is amazing, there are a lot of recreational activities like clubs, games, gymnasiums, and a lot of fests to keep the students fresh and decrease their load of studies. The clubs of fine arts, music, dance, and Google developer club help students in every way to socialize.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are well furnished and food in the mess is decent. The rooms are also nicely built but due to the very old infrastructure of Nit Jalandhar, some of the hostels need to be refurbished and painted again.

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

For getting admission into NITs first the jee mains exam was conducted by NIA and then followed by a counseling session in which specific branches of specific colleges were allowed. I was allowed instrumentation and control engineering in nit Jalandhar and went for the admissions. The admission process was very smooth as now they have digitalised most of the process and we have to just verify our documents submitted on physical reporting.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Honest is the best Policy

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is interactive and have added various new thing like in the engineering graphics subject they have added the software like autocad instead of traditional drawings... Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
