Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course primarily due to my jee rank, as it was too priority branch available to me at NITJalandhar. Here, the student ratio averages 23 girls in a class of 106. the faculty is truly exceptional, with all teachers being friendly and cooperative. With less than a month before our exam, the preparation was rushed and the exams themselves proved to be quite challenging.

Placement Experience

Students can be eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester. There are various tech, non-tech, circuital companies that visit this college like Amazon But all are average ones. Around 10 lakhs is a normal package. And there are many good packages too. More than 90% get placement. My plan after getting my degree is to be a novelist.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees here are normal as it is in all government colleges. But the main thing is if you have a certificate of income under 1 lakh, your all tuition fees are reduced. If it's between 1 lakh to 5 lakh, your 2/3rd fees are reduced but if your income is more you have to pay the whole.

Campus Life

Annual fest and tech fest are generally conducted time by time but mostly they are in the month of February. Books and journals are always present in the library but novels or literature are not present at that level. The classroom's condition is average. Sports life is not up to mark in college. There is no specific stadium of its own. Social groups and club like the one of literature. It's not that good just its name.

Admission

The admission process was good. Everything went nicely. I have a jee exam as an entrance exam which was like, I got 96.5 percentile. I got an instrumentation and control course on the basis of my rank which is somewhat okay. I am satisfied. Jee exam has its application form on its own site, the NTA one. And it's very good. The fees are a little more than expected. In the admission process if possible everything, and everything should be online.

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
