Course Curriculum Overview

4

First of all Chemical engineering is a core branch. It gives u as many opportunities as u are gaining from other branches. Luckily u have a less burden in this branch as compare to other. The syllabus is quite easy any one who did a small hardwork got a good cgpa in his academics. Also it is not all about chemistry, it is mainly about physical chemistry, how the chemical reactors works , their mechanism and all over. The faculties are quite nice and Understanding . As u know they are professors so they u use some technical keywords in their teachings that are not understandable. For this u have a very well known platform 'YouTube'. U can learn anything from their and score good.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are lots of internship programs if u have a skill. First learn some skills and then go towards the internship programs and set them on fire. U got too much internship programs form ur first year. U meet up with your senior they will surely help u. They will guide you which internship programs are good and bad for you. U will surely get help in that way.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement s are quite better. There are more than 5000 placement opportunities. There are almost 80.6% students placed during their BTECH Chemical engineering that's a quite good percentage. For CSE IT IS 98% . U have a branch upgradtion opportunities also in this Institute. And also u can take some minor degrees in CSE, DS, IT etc along with your core branches . Also u get many internship opportunities starting from the 1st year. You can luckily placed by yourself .

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure for NIT's are quite satisfiable. If u go towards the private sector., you have to spend more money. And the opportunities u gainiy are less comparitably. Also if you are belonging from the reserved sector, u will access much financial assistance for the admission. Your fees will almost halfy reduced if u are a OBC Reseved candidate and it will fully reduced for the SC candidate. Scholarship are also quite satisfiable. Many more programs and internship opportunities u receive during ur 4 year jouney. U will achieve a 25000 fee waiver after scoring 9+ CGPA in ur first year and have to maintain its sustainability. There is a good placement opportunities too. For the chemical engineering students, the placement percentage is 80% from the appearing candidate that was quite good. Our Institute offers many placement in this branch as compared to other esteemed Institute.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at NIT J is quite interesting. You will definitely get a good friends having good mindset in academics as well as in your side. Also having a friendly nature , they will always makes u smile . There are total 19 clubs. Thes includes dance & music, literary and debate, sanskrit, foreign language, yoga and meditation , Google development student club , Tedex and Prayas. From all these , Prayas is one of the finest club. It is a reaching based club where u have to teach some basic knowledge to the needy people which are from below poverty line, that doesn't have the proper shed over their head. U will enjoy alot during this process and will secure more friends during this journey. Desperately, the infrastructure is lil small it is just about 150 acres which I think u can complete 4-5 times everyday. Also there is one well little spaced central seminar hall, one open Air theatre , Gymnasium, laborities, and all the sports ground including gym ????????????.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are 4 seater rooms for first year. You got 4 bed and 3 tables for study. There is a 4 almirahs and one fan. And well networked ethernet connection. Mess are also good.. Giving the quite nice quality of food which you can say is just eatable. All the things are accordingly to the menu that the students mess authorities decided. Hostel clerks and wardens are also nice but also strict in some manner. They didn't tolerate any indiscipline in hostels..fining u in most of the cases for this.

Admission

I admitted in this Institute by successing the jee mains exam and scoring well in my class 12 gaining 92.4% through Josa counseling. There are 6 rounds in jossa counselling. Firstly I got BTECH Biotech in NIT j and after that I got my BTECH Chemical Engineering in all the remaining rounds. After the selection of seat u have to submit the well verified required documents in jossa site. These includes medical certificate, class 12 & 10 marksheet, jee main score card, category certificate, adhar card, income tax certificate ,pwd certificate(if applicable) and have to pay all the selection processing fees. After selection u have to physically show all the documents in the college . After verification of your documents, you got a seat in the prestigious college, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology.

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.
