Remarks

College Management is OK. But need a Students' Union so that they also hear our voices.Student's opinion has no values here. That's the sad part.

Entrance Preview

I took WBJEE-Medical examination. I scored 154. I got selected here after 2nd round of counseling in admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is huge. Course structure is not totally accurate. There are so many things that must be changed and refreshed for the next generation and us also. Lecture class duration is not enough to conceptualize the things. Instead of a projector, blackboard study is more needed for teaching and for showing images and animations projector is fine.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, my college provides the internship. As far as i know the general stipend is Rs. 20000 monthly. Annually(For 1year internship) it is almost 2.4 lakh But, I am a 2nd Professional MBBS student. So, i have no experience of internship yet.

College Events

2

We experienced 1 Fest till now.Every year there is freshers' celebration.Nothing more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is feasible. Almost Rs. 2000 For semesters and 4000 for Professional MBBS exams.

Campus Life

4

Campus life not very lifeful. Gender ratio almost 1:1. There is mainly two parties i.e DSO and TMCP So many seminars and workshops are arranged in our college. Students are from different states like Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Telengana, Assam etc. Hindu, Muslims are predominant. Students are of Mixed economic status.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I do not stay in Hostel. Hostel facility is good for 2nd years and up students. But hostel facility for 1st year students is still very very poor. Food of canteen is fine.No more comments.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful. They helps anytime you need them.Alumni are also helpful and keeps contact through social media also.

Exam Structure

Labs are quite ok for students. Research labs and professional labs are different from us.There are total 13 big exams in whole MBBS . 9 Semesters, 4 Professional MBBS exams And a numerous internal assessment exams. Internal assessment exams are almost every week.

Admission

After declaring the rank and college through counselling process our Verification centre was in R.G KAR medical college and Hospital. Everything details was verified by the administration and then we went to our own colleges for admission in specific dates. Form was given by the authorities in Dean's office and we filled it up. Some of our original documents were taken and kept by the officials and we have to submit a bond of 1 lakh rupees. Thus admission was taken place.

Faculty

3

Faculties of all departments are not good enough. Anatomy department faculties are third class type including HOD sir. They don't intend to teach us in a correct and beautiful way. Pharmacology, Medicine, Surgery, some of Pathology faculties are very good. Some of Physiology and Biochemistry faculties are also very good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.
