Likes

The location of college, it is situated in a hilly area so the monsoon is available whole year, overall it looks gorgeous.
The seniors here are so much helpful and motivating. The insist us to take participate in more and more activities.

Dislikes

IIT Goa don't have permanent campus, so it hurts so much sometimes when you talk to your friends from other IITs
There are lectures, 5 days a week so it feels so bad when you have to go to hall at 9 am.
As I am new to hostel life so may be I feel it in other college also, I remember my parents so much.

Course Curriculum Overview

The reason I chose Mathematics and Computing over other branches is that you will get exposure in CSE courses as well as in Analytical thinking. And the other reason that everyone knows is PACKAGES. The faculties here are too experienced in that they know what doubt can come to student's minds so they teach in that way so that maximum doubts are cleared. If you study seriously for 1-2 hrs a day then you will get very good marks, students find it difficult because there are so many extracurricular activities that students can't concentrate on their studies.

Class Size: 140Course Fees: INR 280000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees I mentioned before were overall fees without any scholarship but there is a scholarship for students regardless of the category of student. So yes here is a plus point for us. family income < 1lakh, 100% fee waiver in tuition fees for each semester; between 1 lakh to 5 lakh 66%; No scholarship for income > 5 lakh. There is a special scholarship for SC/ST students other than this. Remember you have to apply for a scholarship after each semester.

Campus Life

Life at IIT is very exciting as you will get to know so many things about the people of different regions of India and many more. The annual fest that held in IIT Goa is CULTRANG, I don't know so much about it as it will be held in the month of February or March, but I came to know through my seniors that it would be so much exciting and refreshing event, you can visit IIT Goa Instagram page for events. There is a library where you can find all the required books to develop your skills. Other than this there so many clubs consisting of coding clubs, philosophical clubs, oratory clubs, etc. You can find football, cricket, badminton, basketball, volleyball, etc

Admission

You all first have to prepare for the most prestigious exam in India, i.e. JEE Advanced. Students have to prepare thoroughly for this exam, the syllabus consists of physics, chemistry and mathematics. You are allowed to sit in the exam in class 12 and a year after it. You first have to clear JEE mains to sit in the JEE advanced exam. After that, you will be able to apply for counselling on the official josaa website.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good like averages of chemical is 12 lpa and there is good placement percentage ratio like 75 percent and if in case of no placements further study is possible option as bits have connection to many best institues in the world.

Students sit for placements in their final year, which is mostly the 4th or 5th year. Many companies visit the campus and make numerous offers, such as Microsoft, Google, and BCG. highest package was 61 lakhs while the average was 20 lakhs per annum.

BITS Pilani, Goa Campus- A road to an interesting life.

Placement Experience:

Students can start sitting in placements from the start of 4th year , when the Placement Division starts bringing companies to the campus. The average package for CS is around 20-26 LPA, for Electrical branches it's around 18-24 LPA and for Mechanical and Chemical it is around 13-16 LPA. These figures would've changed though from the last time I saw. Around 85-90% of the students get placed usually. Top notch companies like Google, Microsoft , DE Shaw, Arcesium Cohesity Rubrick recruit students every year for the tech roles and other prominent companies like Flipkart, Sprinkle, Intuiut and Coin Switch come for managerial roles as well. There is even a chance of getting a PPO through Summer Internship Program which kikstarts in the 3rd year where students compete to get internship in these top companies. Overall , BITS Goa has impeccable placement statistics

BITS Pilani unfiltered: A deep dive into the campus.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible to college placements from 7th semester More than 300 companies visit every year which include MNCs, startups, spread over all major domains like IT, Electronics, consulting, finance, core, product management etc The highest package varies every year but the average stands at around 18-20lpa. more than 90% of the students get placed every year. i plan to build my career in ET industry after my degree.

Bits Goa good or not

Placement Experience:

There is a dept for placements. 70 to 80 percent people get placed woth average package of 20 lakhs per annum. Mostly ot depends on interviews and how good internship you get in 3rd year. Cg plays a very imp role too.

I have no clue but the highest placements are in Computer and IT branches. Civil has probably the least placement. The quality is good thanks to IIT and NIT being in the same campus thus the big companies that come to those colleges also come to our colleges but they prefer those students more because NIT and IIT are more prestigious colleges.

Trusted experience of Iit goa

Many students has the doubt of selecting best branch or college, I would say going for the branch yeah it's true that high collages have high placements but it's doesn't guarantee uhhh to get a job uhh must have the best knowledge so gain the best knowledge is best course instead of low branch and then doing other courses. IIT Goa Review

Completing engineering from IIT is like a dream come true for every engineering student. IITs not only provide good placement but learning and the exposure and opportunities that we get is unimaginable. I also wanted to be part of IIT and I really worked hard for the GATE exam but frankly speaking, I am an average student and my GATE score was between 755 to 860 according to me ad my preference is IIT Goa was the best option.
