Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is altered a little bit every year to make it relevant and much more effective for the students and students real worl ready. The exams are conducted on different basis such as mid semester and end semester and few in semester evaluatives
Internships Opportunities
BITS provide a different way of providing internships known as Practice school in which companies are invited and their requirements are offered to students in which students can apply and land to an internship by clearing the requirements and an interview in some cases
Placement Experience
The student is eligible for campus placement since 7th semester. The companies that visit the campus are Google, Samsung, Meta, Apple, Nvidia, IBM, Mercedes Benz and many more. The percentage of placement is around 84%. My plan after getting the degree is higher studies
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is based on a tuition fee+ hostel and mess fee model in which the tuition fee is increased by 5% every year. The fees i would be paying for the 4year course will be around 30lakhs. The institution provides scholarships of two types one is of merit scholarship and the other one is merit cum need scholarship.
Campus Life
There are four major fest and two in campus fest the names of the college fests are Waves The cultural fest of BITS Goa, Spree - The sports fest of BITS Goa, Quark- The Technical Fest of BITS Goa, Zephyr - The inter hostel fest and slams - Inter Hostel Sports fest. There are various clubs and departments which are all run by students and the fests are also organised by students
Hostel Facilities
The hostel room provided are spacious and well accommodated. The washroom are well maintained and cleaned everyday which makes it clean and odourless. The campus is also equipped with high speed wifi which can be accessed by every student
Admission
The policies and facilities provided BITS are much better than those other colleges i was offered such as BITS has a policy of 0% attendance, all merit based admissions meaning 0% reservations and the placements and legacy the BITS tag hold is very reputed. The mode of admission for Indian students is via their own admission test BITSAT. The cutoffs and patrern is uploaded in thir own website
Faculty
The faculty is very approachable and friendly and a student can always seek their advice and guidance whenever they feel so. The faculties which are really good in their respective job was Mr. Raviprasad adhuri, Mr. Iniyan, Mr. Raunak and Mr. Amit. The exams are moderately tough and are conducted in mid semester and end semester basis
Night Life
The campus consists of well equipped gym and many eateries in the campus. The library is air conditioned and contains all the book one requires for their reading if any genre. There is no hostel timings but a campus timing of 11pm. Famous hangout places inside the campus is Foodking and Ice and spice.
