BITS Goa is Amazing Ong

Algorithm teacher's teaching style is a bit hard to follow, although the faculty is a knowledgable person, he takes way too many pauses and doesn't keep the class engaged the whole time. Curriculum is comprehensive with multiple evaluations and latest syllabus and the electives are very updated as well, allowing students to choose based on their interesrts.

lot of system companies like Nvidia, Qualcomm, AMD visit the campus. The number of companies offering roles for PG students is definitely low in comparision to the UG students. the placement cell puts in 100% effort to bring companies for Summer Internship Programme as well.

there's practice school option in semester 4 which allows students to go to corporate company and work as an intern, giving students exposure to work experience. this can lead to a FTE placement as well. Maintaining 8+ GPA is very important in getting placed. I plan to get placed and work in AI roles.

Waves is a cultural fest that happens which also has prom night and flashy musical concerts. there's zephyr which is a inter hostel sports competiton. students actively participate in this and the winner hostel got a PS 5 this year.

Single rooms are provided with a white board as well. the toilets are maintained with hygiene. Food is exceptionally good and it changes every month. There are apartments around the campus for rent. No PGs afaik

My goal was to get into BITS, I only have IIITH PGEE test apart from BITS HD. I couldn't clear the PGEE test since I was under prepared at the time of the test. This university has a very good placement record.

Faculty and students have good interaction, the faculty are very good at teaching. the lectures are engaging and the evaluations are completely transparent. Most of the courses have a mid term and end sem examination. Other evaluations vary from course to course, while some have Lab evalutations, some have presesntations, some have projects etc. Faculties are always ready to help and be conducting remedial classes for students as needed. No one fails to clear the exam since everyone is smart and locked in. The questions in exams are application based that test actual understanding of the students properly.

The night life is amazing, there's no curfew for boys and girls hostels. cafeterias are open till 2:30 am. Vending machines available at each hostel 24x7. library also stays open till 2 : 30 am on normal days.
