IIT Goa Review

Completing engineering from IIT is like a dream come true for every engineering student. IITs not only provide good placement but learning and the exposure and opportunities that we get is unimaginable. I also wanted to be part of IIT and I really worked hard for the GATE exam but frankly speaking, I am an average student and my GATE score was between 755 to 860 according to me ad my preference is IIT Goa was the best option. To be part of IIT Goa I need to clear the GATE exam that I did and I should have a minimum of 55% marks. My academic qualification was according to IIT Goa. During my research, I realize that IIT Goa fits into my preference not because it provides good placement but the college also has good research programs and good educational standards. That is why I opted for IIT Goa.

As a student, I can say that the curriculum of the IIT Goa is according to the latest industrial norms and standards. The curriculum is a mixture of theoretical knowledge and practical activities like industrial visits, working on different kinds of projects and assignments, etc.

The internship is not mandatory for us. But if want to take part in the internship the college provides ample opportunity for the internship. The college placement cell is very professional and helpful. The placement cell provides us with the list of the companies visiting the campus for internship and helps us to select the company according to our interests. The stipends usually remain between Rs. 22000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/-.

The college placement records are very good. IIT Goa provides the placement as per the standards of IITs. The placement cell of the college is very professional and cooperative they not only provide us with the list of companies but they also help us and guide us in every round during the placement tenure. The highest placement package for our batch was around 35 LPA and the average package was around 19.50 LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Paytm, Reliance, KPMG, Bosch, ABB, VMWare, Infosys, Wipro, Mercedes Benz, etc participated in the placement drive of the campus.

The college classrooms are very spacious that can accommodate around 70-80 students at a time. The college seniors and administrative staff are friendly and cooperative. The provides ample opportunities for research activities and projects work as the college lab is equipped with modern facilities. The sports facilities like football ground, basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court, etc are also available. The college also celebrates Holi on the campus. The library is equipped with lots of books and international journals. Overall the campus life of the college is very fun and peaceful.

The hostel is well maintained and the staff and the wardens of the hostel are very cooperative and friendly. The rooms are available in single and double sharing options. The hostel provides 24 hours power supply and 24 hours high-speed internet connectivity. The mess food is tasty and the menu keeps on changing and the menu is decided by the hostel management. Hostel students are members of the hostel management committee. The hostel provides us with all kinds of modern facilities and amenities according to our comfort.

The faculty of the college is very professional and experienced. Most of the faculty f the college are of PhD level with industrial exposure which is very helpful for us. We can approach the respective subject teacher any time to clear our doubts and they help us without any kind of hesitance.
