Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is new and updated with almost all relevant courses needed in the future. The faculty is highly qualified many having PHDs from Stanford and they teach really good. Term exams are conducted every 1-2 months and it's difficult to get good grades as relative grading is followed

Internships Opportunities

In BITS Pilani we have a concept of Practice School. There are two Practice Schools in a student's 4 year programme. Practice School-1 which is an unpaid internsip at the end of 2nd year. and Practice School - 2 which is a semester long internship with avg stipend of 1 lakh

Placement Experience

Placements at BITS Pilani are amongst the best in India. The Average Package ranges around 22 Lakhs across all branches. Students are eligible to sit in Placements in their fourth year in either first or second semester

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees per semester is around 2.3 Lakhs INR. However, the insitute provides two types of Scholarships - Merit based and Merit Cum Need based scholarships. More details about it can be found on the official website of BITS Pilani

Campus Life

There are three fests conducted each year. WAVES - the annual cultural fest which is conducted every year around ocotober-November. Quark - Annual Techno-Management Fest which is conducted every year around March Spree - Annual Inter-College Sports Fest held around April every year

Hostel Facilities

First Year Students are given double occupancy rooms while students in second year and onwards are given single occupancy rooms. The rooms are really good among the best hostel rooms in India and the mess food is also good

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

For giving the exam you need to have atleast 75% in boards and have to clear 10+2. you need to register for the entrance exam BITSAT through bitsadmission website and be among the top students in India to get admitted to various programmes.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good like averages of chemical is 12 lpa and there is good placement percentage ratio like 75 percent and if in case of no placements further study is possible option as bits have connection to many best institues in the world.

BITS Pilani, Goa Campus- A road to an interesting life.

Placement Experience:

Students can start sitting in placements from the start of 4th year , when the Placement Division starts bringing companies to the campus. The average package for CS is around 20-26 LPA, for Electrical branches it's around 18-24 LPA and for Mechanical and Chemical it is around 13-16 LPA. These figures would've changed though from the last time I saw. Around 85-90% of the students get placed usually. Top notch companies like Google, Microsoft , DE Shaw, Arcesium Cohesity Rubrick recruit students every year for the tech roles and other prominent companies like Flipkart, Sprinkle, Intuiut and Coin Switch come for managerial roles as well. There is even a chance of getting a PPO through Summer Internship Program which kikstarts in the 3rd year where students compete to get internship in these top companies. Overall , BITS Goa has impeccable placement statistics

BITS Pilani unfiltered: A deep dive into the campus.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible to college placements from 7th semester More than 300 companies visit every year which include MNCs, startups, spread over all major domains like IT, Electronics, consulting, finance, core, product management etc The highest package varies every year but the average stands at around 18-20lpa. more than 90% of the students get placed every year. i plan to build my career in ET industry after my degree.

Bits Goa good or not

Placement Experience:

There is a dept for placements. 70 to 80 percent people get placed woth average package of 20 lakhs per annum. Mostly ot depends on interviews and how good internship you get in 3rd year. Cg plays a very imp role too.

Placement Experience:

I have no clue but the highest placements are in Computer and IT branches. Civil has probably the least placement. The quality is good thanks to IIT and NIT being in the same campus thus the big companies that come to those colleges also come to our colleges but they prefer those students more because NIT and IIT are more prestigious colleges.

I applied to IITs, NITs, GFTIs and VIT apart from BITS. I got confirmed admission into VIT while the process for other colleges was ongoing. I withdrew from the process of other as soon as I got into BITS. I also withdrew my application from VIT. I chose this college over other colleges is because BITS is known for its excellence and great alumni network . It also has one of the most successful statistics of placements over other private colleges. The admission to BITS is done through BITSAT. It takes place every year along with Jee Mains and Jee Advance . The cutoffs vary every year for the courses and can be easily found on Google. This exam is of high eminence and is held high in place along with the JEE exams.
