Course Curriculum Overview

This is a college of national importance so I choose this course. The faculties are really good here. Most of them have done their PhD from IITs also they are quite friendly. Their teaching method is also quite admirable. You can even get one is to one doubts clearance if you go to their cabins. The exams are conducted in an organized manner. We have one mid-semester examination and one end-semester examination in a semester.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students become eligible for placements from 3rd semester. Top companies like Goldman Sachs, Uber, jio, etc. come for placements here. As per the data of last year, the placement percentage is 100%. You can either get a good placement here or go for higher studies like MTech and Ph.D.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course costs around 8 lakhs excluding the hostel fees. No scholarships are available from the college side. But you can get access to some government scholarships if required. Many good companies like Uber, jio come for placement here. So you can get good placement opportunities here.

Campus Life

Almost all books on all subjects are available in the library. The classrooms are spacious and all are AC classrooms. Extracurricular activities are less here. The college provides ground for extracurricular activities like cricket and football but no transportation facilities are available from the hostel to the ground.

Admission

You can get this college and course from JOSAA counseling. Application dates and other details can be found on the JOSAA website. Reservation for SC, ST, and OBC candidates is there but there is no reservation for female candidates. The admission process was smooth so no improvement is needed in the admission process.

A comprehensive review of MAKAUT , WB

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT: At Brainware University students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final years of their course. For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management,healthcare,media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting,education,sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles. These generally range from 3.5 to 8 LPA. The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.

Don't join if you don't care about the iiit tag cause we have poor college life

I got Indian institute of information technology bhagalpur ece branch it's a good college as it has it's own permanent campus while we don't have that so that's why it is preferable in that way but our location is better with other facilities. During Josaa counseling i applied to many top notch colleges and in the first round result was declared i got MMMUT gorakhpur ECE IOT and i was pretty excited to study IOT but as time passed by i noticed that this yeae the cutoff for ECE IOT in MMMUT went to low as to 2.5lac me being a 80K ranker with students of 2.5lac is not good as later i came to know that the class is what will be deciding which company will come to your college and how much will they offer for campus placement and moreover i found that its course cirriculum is also pretty much out dated and for something like ECE IOT that is such a new field i dodnt find it soothing. i didnt get rejected form the collegs i was expectingt to one of them was IET lucknow i should have took it if the AKTU consulling was not that late as it happened Admission process in our college is simple once you got selected through josaa or csab make you PAF 2 payment and confirm your seat then make the rest of 1st sem payement of instiution and...Read More

For the getting into IIIT Kalyani, one need to clear the JEE Nains examination and need to have around 50 thousands rank. One major flaw is that there is no female reservations seats.
