Clubs here are fantastic and keeps a vibrant atmosphere

Dislikes

Peer group is so good that you may feel lagging behind.
Sometimes there occurs situations where a particular group of people get preference on club recruitments.
Stray dogs are a concern here, they are huge in nimber

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty is decent. You will like some of them and hate some. It depends on you how you manage the courses by yourself. You just need to stay updated with the topics and 1 week of studies can fetch you good marks.

Internships Opportunities

Internships start here at the start of the third year with big companies visiting on day 0 and day 1 taking up the best minds on day 0 itself. Google Microsoft Amazon are the favs of all here. You just need to perform well.

Placement Experience

Placements here are very good because, in circuital branches, you get a huge number of opportunities and companies knocking. They are ready to accept an iitian in their firm with open arms all the time.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees here are around 2 lakh per year as tuition fees and around 60k for hostel and mess combined. The fees are not much as compared to private institutions and are quite satisfactory compared to the placements it provides.

Campus Life

The campus life is awesome with a blend of fests and clubs conducting various programs when and then. Enjoying with friends at the weekend really keeps you motivated and happy at the same time. Hence life here is awesome.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels here are very secure and managed well. The boy's and girls' hostels are separated and kept at a distance. The hostels have an intimate of 12 pm in n the night which might feel bad to you but is alright.

Hostel Fee: INR 65000 per year

Admission

Admission here takes place by cracking jee advanced exam and obtaining a decent rank enough to apply for the respective courses. The cutoff for the MnC branch here is quite good and you need to be among very good rank holders to enter.

BIT Mesra is Musical!!

Placement Experience:

Mechanical branch in terms of number of students placed is quite high but if it is about how many students get elite packages it's less. The average for our branch at our college is 8-9 lakhs but top companies which are into our core space for long are our college partners.

BIT Mesra is humongous!!

Placement Experience:

My plans after degree is to pursue masters or right away get on with my family business as we are already into trading chemicals. However, from the number of students from our stream that apply for jobs through campus, over 80% are placed from campus. Labs to industries that deals in manufacturing of chemicals and exporting the same are the ones where students of our college get the opportunity.

BIT Mesra is Magical!!

Placement Experience:

Highest package from our campus is eye catching as it's 56 lakhs and for chemical branch it was 34 lakhs. HUL, Sun Pharma, public limited labs and various R&D research centres are those that have helped us to get best available jobs in market as the competition is high but BIT Mesra has still managed to place over 80% students last year.

BITS Mesra is Magnificent!!

Placement Experience:

From second semester we are taken for an hour session for special training. It is optional till 4th semester but from 5th semester onwards, it becomes mandatory and we have no choice but to go through that hammer. Finally, from the last year's 1st semester companies starts coming and we can apply for the same and that is how placements are done here.

IIT dhanbad the untold story

Placement Experience:

the placement rate depends on branch.some branches like cse,ese will have a high placement rate and for small branches like mechanical and chemical will have less placements .the highest package is around 60lpa.

Read this before joining BIT Sindri.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities is decent for students. The placement of BIT sindri varies from branch to branch but the core brances like Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering has evergreen placements. Among the eligible students around 90 percent students get placed. But in branches like civil and production engineering, its not the same. They have very low placement rate around 20 to 30% of eligible students get placement. For CSE, IT & ECE the placement is highly dependent on the situation of market and it varies early. The students are eligible from 6 the semester onwards for placement . The placement drive starts from August or September and companies visit till students graduate. The top recruiters are TCS with more than 80 students from overall campus , TATA power nearly 20 , LNT, JSW , Vedanta , TATA STEEL, JSL, ADANI, ABG , Shyam steel and For it sector companies like samsung , cognisant, hitachi, TCs, Spyder visited for 2k21 batch. For the batch 2020-2024 among batch size of 710 around 620 offers were made. The highest package is given by samsung which is around 28 LPA , students of CSE, IT, ECE and Electrical are eligible. For IT sector average package is around 6 lakhs. For core sectors companies heightest package is offered by vedanta to Electrical, Mechanical, Mining which is around 14 lakhs average package is around 7 LPA.. Around 75- 80 percent students get placed during campus placement drive. The Wish to crack GATE and join PSU after my graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is slightly outdated due but still it isnrelevant due to research oriented branch. The areas they can improve is by adding practical subjects more than theoretical one. Exams are conducted twice every semester with easy to moderately moderate difficulty level.

All things to be considered before taking admission in BIT

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students are eligible for placement the companies visited are google,jindal,TCS, aakash,PWetc.the highest package offered was 25LPA and the average was 5-6LPA.the place percentage was 60-70% because there are students who is preparing for civil services,GATE,etc.My plan was to crack GATE and get placed in one of the PSU's.

BIT Mesra Review in a nutshell

Placement Experience:

After completion of 6th sem students are eligible for placements. All major tech giants you name it like Google, Microsoft,Walmart,Atlassian,Flipkart,Visa,Texas Instruments,Arcesium,Salesforce..... etc do visit the campus for the placement and around there are around 250+ companies visiting. Highest offered was around 51 lakhs and average for CSE is around 21Lakhs. Percentage of students placed is close to 90%.

All You need to know about IIT(ISM) Dhanbad

As this is an IIT, To get admission here Firstly You have to take the JEE mains exam. At our time there used to be 4 rounds of the JEE Mains exam and Your maximum percentile among all 4 would be considered for a cutoff It was around 90% and to be eligible for give JEE advance Exam. The JEE advance exam happened in July, and its results were also released in August. After Qualifying JEE Advanced exam too you have to go through JOSSA counselling. In JOSSA counselling you have to give your list of colleges priority wise and you will be allotted college based on your AIR. After JOSSA counseling of 6 rounds, you will be allotted a college and then you will receive an offer letter from a college. For me, at IIT Dhanbad after taking admission firstly we were introduced to college through an orientation session with our respected director. After this we were called to campus for pre-registration for our course there we had to submit our documents and verify our identity. That's it !!...Read More
