Academics of college is very very good ,well equipped labs ..
Sports system is good ,gym is very good and well equipped..
Hostel facility are good ,mess food is also upto the mark..

Dislikes

Marks system and checking of the papers, maths department is very strict
Canteen is not good as it should be,also we don't have night canteen
Maintenance of college, which is not good as per fund is given to the college

Course Curriculum Overview

As per my interest and the staff of Mechanical Engineering in National institute of Technology Srinagar is good. The faculty is highly qualified and friendly in nature, due to corona our first and 2nd semesters are nearly 4 months but after 3rd semester it will be fine as per the regular semester of 5 to 6 months.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Almost all renowned companies come to the college for both core and tech branches, placements are very nice for the tech branches and it is up to the mark for core branches too, projects are given in the 4th year only.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee will remain nearly the same, the registration fee is the same as that in the first semester, but the mess fee varies as the quality and increase in dishes vary, we have an NSP scholarship which requires income below 5 lakhs.

Campus Life

Colleges have different fests TECHWAGNZA, also different types of cultural fests, the library is good almost all type of books available regarding the course and extra.. classrooms are well furnished and contains smart board too, sports and extracurricular activities are also there well-equipped gym is there.

Admission

As per my interest and percentile, I got mechanical engineering at the National Institute of TECHNOLOGY SRINAGAR, the application form will be available after completion of Josaa counseling on the Samarth portal of the college, there are both reservations of State and category depending upon the criteria you have, although throughout the whole admission process is upto the mark, you won't find any problem regarding the admission process.

I opt for this college too, and also to Delhi University as it give admission on the basis of 12 percentage.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th. A score of 96 - 97 p;ercentile is enough for an OB/C or General student and 93% -90 perccentile for SC / ST students.
