Likes

Campus was very good and all the faculty are very much caring.
Placements facilities are very good as students get placed in reputed companies.
Infrastructure is suitable and has all the facilities for the students.

Dislikes

Social clubs are not available in the university
Gymnasium must be upgraded as it is very old fashioned.
Cleanliness of the hostel could be much better as it was not .

Course Curriculum Overview

Great future opportunities and placements. 1:20 faculty-student ratio is there. All professors are well qualified with Ph.D. and post-doctorate scientists. A 2-semester examination per year is conducted and class notes provided by teachers are enough to pass without any tuition.

Placement Experience

After 6th semester students become eligible for placements. Various companies including pesticides, NGOs, banks, etc. The highest package is around 8 lac per annum and the average is 4 lac per annum. 50% of the students get placements. Preparations for getting a master's degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are quite reasonable and affordable. Hostel and academics combined only charge about 50,000 per year including 2 times meals in a hostel and other facilities. West Bengal govt provides svmcm and other scholarships.

Campus Life

The annual fest is conducted every year. The library is very rich and there are books and journals of prominent writers. All classrooms have air conditioning and smart TVs to get a good experience. Sports ground is available. Social clubs are not there.

Admission

12th standard marks are enough for WB students and students can take admission through ICAR also. Online application is available at the time of admission. Reservation is available as per government norms. No everything is good.

Placement Experience:

In my University they provide us to seat for the interview of those recruiting companies after 3rd semester online so this is a great opportunity for us to have an experience event because if we read for 4 year course after 1 and half year only we are getting chance to say for the interview and the companies here comes for recruitment are very renowned companies companies like Flipkart Amazon Myntra and many others TCS consultancy they always to visit for recrating so I will suggest that the placement provide by the university is good and 75 to 80% of student getting successfully placed from the university into good companies and with an average salary of 6 lpa to 9lpa

Something is better than nothing

Course Curriculum Overview:

Seat limit has been decreased into a little amount.So, getting chance is more difficult .there are 3 faculties agriculture, horticulture, agriculture engineering.In agriculture faculty so many departments are there ,but seat limit is less.In total seat,80%is for domicile students of West Bengal and 20%for icar accredited university students.In that 80% 70% for university home students and 10% for rest of the domicile students.

Syngenta private limited, IFFCO, PRADAN visited our university and select 63 student and give them proper placement. 8 lakhs height placement and average is 3 to 4 lakhs. All About Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (BCKV), main campus, Mohanpur, Nadia

Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate. A score above 95% in the board exam or crack the ICAR AIEEA UG Exam with a good depth of biology and chemistry for admission....Read More
