Our campus - It is very beautiful and vast, full of greenery and fresh air
Hostel life - It will be the best part of our life where we are actually growing up to a complete person
Our faculty - our faculty building is well maintained and teachers are so much helpful

Dislikes

No ICAR affiliation till now , so it is very much unfortunate event for us
Poor distribution of drinking water supply in the faculty building
Less no of ladies toilet in faculty building or agriculture

Course Curriculum Overview

As I can connect with plants from the very childhood and want to become a soil scientist I chose the course. The faculty is very efficient. We are going through smart classes for clear knowledge on different topics. There are 2 semesters in one year and each semester contains 1 mid-term and 1 end term for approximately 10 subjects and practical exams applicable for certain subjects only. If you study thoroughly and go through all the study materials and class note, you can easily pass the exams.

Class Size: 132Course Fees: INR 14000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In Each semester we have to pay the semester fee of 6775 rupees and we can avail a good no of books present in our library. We can avail of a no of scholarships like the Swami Vivekananda merit cum scholarship and others like nsp tata jagadis bose etc.

Campus Life

There is a fest in 3 years. It is mainly conducted in the month of January or December. Our library is very much appreciated for a good collection of books and journals for BSC MSC and PhD students. Our classroom is well-lit, having ac inside. There is an annual sports program and there is a unit for students to help, Our hostel Life will be full of memories that are gathered by us day by day.

Admission

It was based on total marks obtained in English biology physics and chemistry in our higher secondary examination. The admission form application was available at the BCKV online site. There were reservations for SC, ST, OBC, and the vocational board. The actual admission procedure was done by physical verification at last on the main campus.

I chose this subject because competition for job in this sector is not so high. It's easy to get a job after complete this course. As I say earlier semester examinations are the main examination. The examination is not so hard.

Something is better than nothing

Course Curriculum Overview:

Seat limit has been decreased into a little amount.So, getting chance is more difficult .there are 3 faculties agriculture, horticulture, agriculture engineering.In agriculture faculty so many departments are there ,but seat limit is less.In total seat,80%is for domicile students of West Bengal and 20%for icar accredited university students.In that 80% 70% for university home students and 10% for rest of the domicile students.

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..

BCKV, a place to cherish forever.

You have to secure good percentage in Higher Secondary and clear the cutoff (More than 90%) to get into UG. You have to clear cutoff of University exams to get into PG/PhD. Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate.
