Course Curriculum Overview

I liked it for the uniqueness of the course. There are many ways to establish. The student ratio is more or less 1:1 The faculty is highly educated and well-renowned. The term was more or less timely and difficulty was moderate.

Internships Opportunities

The students were taken to internships in the last year with an 18000 rupees stipend. The teachers are with the students to help them with their projects. Companies either come or we have to apply it personally.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is nearly 7000. Fees policy is just like any other government college or university. The accommodation and facilities we get in this budget are good. The cost to study is very efficient. We get smart classes even in this fees. I didn't get any scholarship due to my income being ineligible.

Campus Life

In the university annual freshers and social events take place in a humongous way. It is generally conducted at December end or January. The library is fully loaded with knowledge and rare books. Classrooms are all air conditioning and most have smart boards. It has a central playground with an annual sports event.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are spacious with 3 people. Meal quality is way better than other hostels and the menu is diverse. Almost negligible cost of remaining in hostel. The only cost is the mess bill for food which is less than 70 rupees per day for 2-time meals.

Hostel Fee: INR 2500 per year

Admission

There were 3 categories for admission. West Bengal board, Vocational Board, and other boards. I was selected in another board category. Due to covid period, there were 5 rounds of admission. The other board cut-off was higher than other categories. The seat matrix of our category was lower. I was selected without any reservation. I found the form on the university website with an application fee of 500 for the general category. The admission seats should be increased.

I chose this subject because competition for job in this sector is not so high. It's easy to get a job after complete this course. As I say earlier semester examinations are the main examination. The examination is not so hard.

Something is better than nothing

Course Curriculum Overview:

Seat limit has been decreased into a little amount.So, getting chance is more difficult .there are 3 faculties agriculture, horticulture, agriculture engineering.In agriculture faculty so many departments are there ,but seat limit is less.In total seat,80%is for domicile students of West Bengal and 20%for icar accredited university students.In that 80% 70% for university home students and 10% for rest of the domicile students.

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..

BCKV, a place to cherish forever.

You have to secure good percentage in Higher Secondary and clear the cutoff (More than 90%) to get into UG. You have to clear cutoff of University exams to get into PG/PhD. Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate.
