Remarks

The college is good, but requires to improve on infrastructure, and sanitation. However, leaving this aside, it has a very reputed name and students here are among the best in the city. The college provides for a good learning environment for the students

Entrance Preview

I gave the JEE Mains 2014 to get an admission into this college. It was customary for all engineering aspirants to take the exam. However, from this year, the JEE has been scrapped, and admissions to all Maharashtra based colleges will be on the basis of the MH-CET scores. My percentile was about 99.6 after including my board exam scores. VJTI is ranked number one in Maharashtra due to its 128 year legacy and rich history of producing notable engineers. The college has a huge campus and highly qualified teachers too. Hence, it was easy to make the choice to take admission into VJTI.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum has constantly been upgraded to meet industry standards. We are an autonomous institute, and hence, we have the liberty to select subjects of our choice. My current batch is studying a new curriculum, upgraded to meet required standards. The various labs and activities ensure students get a first hand practical experience of whatever they are learning.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, there are internships for 3rd year srudents. Companies come in and conducts tests and 9ntervies However, the internships are mainly accessible to the Computers, Information Tech students. For the pther branches, it's rather difficult to grab an internship in your respective field. The general stiend ranges from about RS. 40-50K.

Placement Experience

5

VJTI has a 100% placement record. Being the prime engineering institute in the state, companies prefer students who have passed out of the college. As a result, over 200 companies visit our campus for campus placements, and it includes the big names like Google and Microsoft too. Reliance, Bank of America, Tata Motors, Citigroup, etc. are a host of other names visiting the campus. The TPO ensures that students from all branches get a chance to get placed.

College Events

4.5

There are three major fests of the college.Technovanza- The technical fest of the college is one of the most renowned and widely followed fests in the state. The average footfall over the years has been 25000.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are the least among the engineering institutes in the country since its a government college. Roughly about Rs. 60000 a year. As the year passes, the fees also go on decreasing.Special provisions for people belonging to reserved categories, Also, scholarships are available to minimize the burden of expenditure on education for the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Alumni Association provides scholarships to the students each year, based on merit and financial background. There are several organisations too who provide scholarships to the college students. Education Loans too are provided. There is an SBI branch n the campus itself.

Campus Life

4

The gender ration would be about 60:40 in favour of boys. There is a lot of diversity since there are students ranging from different cities, towns, castes, religions, etc. Lot of co curricular events that go on side by side with the college functioning. Many debates, technical events, cultural events are held, ensuring a healthy college environment.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are below par. No major up-gradation in the last many years. Students are made to stay in small rooms with not so great ventilation. Mess food is liked by some and disliked by some. However, proper security is maintained so that students can stay

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni Network is very diverse and well connected. There is an alumni Association Head Office in the college itself. The senior students are helpful and always willing to guide about certain things pertaining to college life.

Exam Structure

There are the sets of exams. The semester lasts roughly about 4 months. Two are the units known as In Semester Tests and one final examniation known as the End Semester Examination. The exams are typically with a break of about 4 weeks between them, and th

Faculty

The faculty is diverse.Ranging from the young to the old, and also from the rather fresh ones to the ones with an experience of over 25 years too. Not all of the faculty is great though. However, that's the story of all educational institutes. However, ef
