The hostel food is not good qulaity various students complained that
Core branches placements are very poor .

Course Curriculum Overview

I was a little bit excited about coding and that type of stuff so I prefer this course. And in this college faculty and students ratio is pretty well, and they are good mentors also. If you have any doubts then simply ask them. Most of the teachers are MTech, Ph.D.

Placement Experience

From 3rd year students can sit in college placements. The highest package is around 6lpa and the average package is 2.4lpa. If you are in the IT sector then the placements and good but in the core branches placement is poor. Around 70% of students are placed last year. My plan is to apply for govt. Jobs after the degree completion.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you compare other private colleges free then it is quite affordable. Within 4 lakh, you will complete the whole course and if you score 60% per year then you will get a 60k scholarship if you are a West Bengal student so just calculate your fees.

Campus Life

A big annual function is organized by our college every year. You can search it down Magnus on Google. A big program and our college organize different tech fest and quiz competitions. The library is good enough you will get all of your course-related books. There are various clubs you can join also.

Admission

I was admitted through the main exam. Eligibility criteria are you have to score a minimum of 45% in PCM and a valid rank in the wbjee or jee main exam. you have to choice fill out your college then pay a minimum charge for the application. After that, if you are interested then contact the college from the website.

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements. So first talk about the admission procedure : there are two ways to get into this college for btech admission is by JEE and WBJEE entrance exam. Ok taking account of these exam ranks you can take admission into this college and the average rank for CSE branch by WBJEE is under 20-25k.
