Course Curriculum Overview
Being a commerce student, I wanted to explore all the options that can be further taken as a specialisation. Hence, I decided to go for a Bachelor of Commerce (hons) so that I can get to learn a variety of subjects and then accordingly choose one of the best subjects wherein my interest lies. If I talk about the faculty then this college must be underrated for it but trust me the college has an outstanding faculty, especially in the commerce stream. They will teach you not only what is in the syllabus but also guide you whenever and wherever you need their guidance.
Internships Opportunities
I interned with Sygnific Careers as a content writer and I learned a lot. My whole internship was for 3 months and it had different projects like researching college, placement, admission procedures etc.
Placement Experience
The placement is very less and to get the place you need to be very good in studies as well as other co-curricular activities so that you can grow as an individual. Well, I didnt go for college placement but their average package was around 3 LPA. Once you are in your second year, you are asked to join placement groups where you will find all the internship and placement opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course is absolutely affordable because they charge the minimum fees. During my admission, I paid around Rs 17000 and then you just have to pay your exam fee and nothing else. Hence it makes the course affordable for all.
Campus Life
Delhi university is famous for its fest and in our college, the fest's name is SURLOK and is organised in the month of March every year. There are different societies in the college and the student can join as per his/her interest like commerce society, economics society, debate society, volunteering society, NSS, NCC, etc
Admission
The eligibility was to have an outstanding performance in your 12th standard. You can find the details on sgndkc.org/sk/ There is a reservation for the Sikh minority. Students from the Sikh community need to have a comparatively lesser percentage of general students. The admission process is easy. There is already a change in the admission process. Now DU conducts an entrance exam and SGND Khalsa College is affiliated with delhi university. Hence it considers your score in that entrance exam.
