Review of IIIT Kota by it's first year student.

I chose to get along with this course because of my interest in computer science and the placement it provides. Also, IT has tag benefits in the long term as well. The faculty here are extremely qualified, Ph.D.'s and IIT graduates, but the catch is that some of them aren't that good when it comes to teaching, only some thought, the rest are all good. In a batch around 120 seats are reserved for males and 80 for females. There are mid-seems and end-seems for each semester and other internal marks.

There are many companies that visit here and provide packages varying from 7-8 lpa to over 25-30 lpa. Generally, the role of a software developer is provided to students where some companies provide a stipend of 10000 per month which can range upto 35000 to 40000 and few companies give >40000. Projects are subjective to students and it plays an important role in placements.

We will start receiving internships, officially, from the third year but you can explore and pick up off-campus internships from the second year also. Companies like Yugabyte, amazon, gap, goldman sachs, etc. have visited the campus. The highest package for cse went around 80 lpa and the average for cse is 16 lpa, 14 lpa for ece. Around 90 percent of students get placed. My plan is to grab a package of around 20 lpa.

There's nothing like a fee hike , it remains constant throughout the four years. The fees per year are around two lakhs fifty thousand. There are NSP scholarships provided and whatever scholarship your state offers can be availed. Also, loans are provided. I'm still in my first year but I have seen my seniors receive even 30 lakh packages and more.

The fest is named flair-fiesta, though I haven't got the chance to experience it but it has a good budget and is on a good scale. There are all the academic books available and also some amount of novels. Classrooms are spadeful and modern. There are also many functioning cultural and technical clubs to be a part of.

We have been provided with three seater rooms which are spacious enough and come with good air circulation but the temperature of Rajasthan touch extremities many times. The mess quality is below average though and the menu isn't great as well. The cost of living is not high here and it is affordable.

The eligibility of this course is to have a good percentile in JEE mains. Personally, I received a seat in this college at 97.65 percentile in JEE mains 2022 with a rank of 21378. It changes by some margin every year, but you can expect a seat in CSE at 20000 ranks.
