Review of Nit Jalandhar by a Btech CSE student

I choose CSE because it has more job opportunities than any other branch in present scenario. Most of the faculty here Did there graduation from IITs. Some faculty Did there graduation from abroad too like Russia. Passing the semester exams is not easy .you must study hard to pass. Not every course is difficult but a few like economics are difficult to pass. At present my college is recruiting new faculty (because of less number of faculty so far..). But most of the faculty here give there hundred percent effort.

Students become eligible for campus placements from seventh semester. Last year more than fifty companies visited for recruitment. Out of 120 CSE students 113 students are placed with an average package of 16.74 lakhs per annum and the highest package is 51 lakhs per annum by Microsoft company. The recruitment companies include Google, Microsoft, Flipkart,olx,Texas instruments, Honda , Havells, luminous,adani Reliance industries limited, tata motors,HCL technologies, samsung, Allen institute,Jio, oracle, Paytm, Amazon, Bharat petroleum and many more ..

The fee structure for hostler (per year) will be Income plays key role if you belongs to either General category or OBC category 51000+50000(if income is less than 1 lakh or if you belongs to Sc/St/physically handicapped category irrespective of your family income) 92680+50000(if income is between 1 lakh and 5 lakhs) 176000+50000(if income is greater than 5 lakhs) If you opt for day-scholar it will be 17000 lesser than hostler. If you opt for day-scholar with bus facilities it will be 11000 lesser than hostler. You can apply for only one scholarship for an annual year. I am getting scholarship from FFE . I am receiving 60,000 rupees as scholarship amount per year. My college is providing an average of 17 lakhs package. So I don't have much worry about Job.My branch has almost hundred percentage job ratio. There are many scholarship opportunities in my college based on merit and category.

The biggest events we have in my college are Technician and utkansh(cultural event). Both the events will be held in even semesters. Last time we have Technician event between 25 Feb and 28 Feb . This fest includes many programs like fashion show, Hackathon coding event,... Utkansh cultural fest was held between 24 March and 26 March. It is one among among those biggest fests in North India. We have a library at the centre of my college which includes most of the necessary books. This library consists of a study room attached. We can borrow atmost 2 books at a time and we have return them within 14 working days. My class consists of Ac, projector and fans. We have so many sports club like cricket, kabbadi. I am a part of kabbadi club.

I am hostler. They provide single seater room for only fourth year Btech students. I stayed in two seater room . So I will explain about two seater room. They provide two beds, one table, one chair, two cupboards having huge space and a balcony to dry clothes, a washing machine (one for a floor), a drinking water purifier ( one for a floor), a badminton court, cricket ground, basketball court, a volleyball court (one for all hostlers). Mess food is awful????. They provide different kind of foods in the mess menu but the taste is not good. We have chicken twice a week. and egg curry once a week. Boiled egg, omlette, milk are available everyday. Registration process is simple . They provide link to registe and pay in the official Nit Jalandhar website. We have pay and register. And we have to submit the hardcopies in hostel office that's it!!!

Admission for my college is based on Jee rank.Jee main exams consists of three subjects:- mathematics, physics, chemistry. You can apply for the exam through Nta website or Jee main official website . Eligibility criteria is you must complete your +2 equivalent in the present year as same of jee examination year or within last two years. I mean if you are attending in Jee main 2024 you must complete your +2 equivalent in 2024 or 2023 or 2022 . I think there is no age criteria for nit Jalandhar admission( one of classmate is 8 years older than me????). Josaa or Csab admission is completly based on reservation.I belongs to EWS category . Reservation benefits for this category is not much impact able(almost equivalent to general category) .But income of your family plays key role for fee in my college. If your family annual income is less than 1 lakh then you have no tution fee but still the fees will be 51000 rupees (if hostler). visit official Nit Jalandhar website for more fee details.
