Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I chose this course because I want to pursue my dream of doing my MBA in finance. Also studying finance in Jaipuria is a big deal. So when I got this offer I didn't miss a minute. Our faculty is average. Not the best and not the worst either. The teachers are quite educated and knowledgeable but not really helpful. Also, our office staff faculty is very slow with their work. Though the faculty: student ratio is just fine. Every student gets heard and attended. As mentioned earlier, our teachers are quite knowledgeable and experienced. Most of them have their PhDs and good degrees with them. Their teaching methods are also nice and the education of their students is their main motive. When it comes to imparting education and knowledge no college can beat ours. Term exams are timely taken as in other colleges, but the time provided for one internal exam is very less. They will give a lot of questions to finish in like 15 mins each containing a mark of 2. It is a big issue

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission fees were very less in comparison to other colleges but our semester fees are a little more than other colleges. The cost of studying at Jaipuria is affordable and worthwhile. Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship I get after every semester. Though the process of renewing it is quite hideous. On campus, the job is not provided in our college

Campus Life

2

Campus life is not at all happening here. It's quite boring and only studies oriented. Most of the time we dont even get communicated about the programmes that are going to happen in our college or any of those inter-college competitions. The morning dept of this college remains unaware of these most of the time. We have a good library and books are available there easily. Amenities in the classroom are not at all good. The infrastructure is quite old. Fans work like turtles. The washrooms and bathrooms are not clean either. We do get an opportunity to participate in our annual sports held at our college once a year. But extracurricular activities are not held at all. Our union has a social group that works for the students, organises freshers and farewells and is quite helpful.

Admission

The eligibility was to clear the 10th and 12th boards with a minimum percentage of 90 per cent to get the priority of first admission thereby getting a name in the firsts merit list. Also, to study BCom Hons it was necessary to have commerce as your stream in your 11 and 12 standard. All the details and forms were available through our college website on the Internet. Reservation benefits were not availed by me. The admission process was smooth but quite lengthy. Though it was manageable and necessary for it to be so, a little time-efficient process would be appreciated.

Other Applied Colleges

Goenka College, Shri Shikshayatan College, Surendranath | B.com

Since i got my name in the first merit list

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is backdated and should be improvised as it doesn't give any exposure of present industry knowledge. The frequency of exams is that exams are held after 6 months on semester basis and are easy to pass and majority of the students pass this semester easily.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is obviously outdated and the knowledge we get through it, is bookish and does not apply to present industry methods. This way we are given no exposure to the real life industry knowledge. The exams are held on semester basis after every 6 months and are easy and manageable.
