Course Curriculum Overview

Being a student of Computer Science and Engineering, especially in such a college like ours, is definitely worth of hard work that anyone puts in order to clear jee. I chose this course because I had an interest in it and also of the perks that you enjoy after getting a degree in it (including placements). The college has a good enough Faculty: Student ratio, including professors who are masters in their areas.

Internships Opportunities

The college provides good on-campus and off-campus internship opportunities among students starting from their 3rd year. Many tech companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, TCS, COGNIZANT, and many more offer internship opportunities to our students.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible to sit for placement from the very start of the final year of their degree. The average package varies from branch to branch, and if I talk about my branch which is CSE then it is around 15 LPA and about 90% of the students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

It really depends upon your family's income. For FI (Family Income) below 1Lakh:- For hostellers : 25,500 For day scholars: 17,000 For day scholars with bus: 20,000 For FI 1 lakh to 5 lakh, For hostellers: 46,340 For day scholars: 37,480 For day scholars with bus: 40,840 For FI above 5 Lakh:- For hostellers: 88,00, For day scholars: 79,500, For day scholars with bus:82,500.

Campus Life

There are many clubs and societies in our college in which you may do whatever you want to. We have dance clubs, music clubs, sports clubs, technical clubs, art clubs, fashion clubs, alumni clubs and so many more. In a year we have two major fests Techniti and Utkansh.

Admission

Firstly, to get through NIT, Jalandhar, you need to qualify JEE MAINS entrance examination, followed by JOSAA and CSAB counseling. If I talk about the cut-off, for the CSE branch, then if you are able to get under 10k rank in JEE MAINS then you can easily make it through it. The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Honest is the best Policy

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is interactive and have added various new thing like in the engineering graphics subject they have added the software like autocad instead of traditional drawings... And in eme they provide the real life assignments projects . The exams are of approx 3 hrs and difficulty level is what that is taught in class

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
