Campus - NIT Jalandhar

I love to work with technology and B.Tech in computer science has given me a chance to do of my interest. All faculty are very good and well educated and very polite. The student ratio(girls/boys) in my course is 1:4. (total = 166) Previously exams were conducted every 2 months (3 exams in 1 semester). But after updating the policy only 2 exams ( 1 mid, 1 end semester) are there for a semester. And yes, U can pass your exam by studying for 1 night. ( As all do in B.tech).

Microsoft and Amazon are mass recruiter companies at NIT Jalandhar. They offer roles based on candidates' skills. They offer approximately 80,000/- stipend for interns and pre-placement if finds work of the candidate is good. Students have to work on the company's task, but for resume building, they can search for AI/ML projects.

There is a recession in 2023 year. Not that many companies are coming but, still, it is not that much bad a situation. You have to struggle for your internships, but for placement, you need to do less effort. Due to fewer opportunities, the college is serving only one on-campus placement and internship for each student. If someone got an internship/placement on-campus/off-campus is not able to apply for the upcoming company's internship/placement program.

There are 3 main categories for students, on the basis of the annual family income. If your annual income is below then 1,00,000/- rupees, then you have to just pay for the hostel fee(25000/- rupees)(if opted for hostel) or, respective(if day scholar then no fee). If annual income is between 1-5 lack rupees, then has to pay 50,000/- per semester including hostel fee. if family income is greater then 5lack the has to pay full fee (88,000/- college + 25000/- hoste). There are many scholarship provided by the goverment for financial weak student.

Life at the NIT Jalandhar campus is very good. There are many clubs where you can enjoy yourself with your friends and can do many social activities too. There is a group of students who are teaching poor children free of cost at NIT Jalandhar's campus and outside too.

The candidate should complete his/her 12th standard within the past 3 years. Candidates can find the application Form for JEE-Mains on NTA's official website and can check the last dates. The fee was 2800/- rupees for INDIAN people and some extra charges for candidates from outside India. Reservations are applicable in this exam. The cut-off may vary from category to the student.
