Likes

The campus is situated in Kashmir which is heaven on earth means the campus location is very beautiful.
Security are available at every place for security purposes for females .
Library are large which is good for study purpose.

Dislikes

Curriculum of the classes are very busy.
More number of students in a room which is not good for privacy.
Mess food is also not so good .it can be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview

Here the placement is so good in Mechanical And I'm very interested in Mechanical engineering because of my science field interest. Faculty-student is good according to students (50:1). Teachers are very well qualified and most are from IITs and NITs There are two exams one is mid sem and the other is end sem and the exams are tough but quite harder.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Internships Opportunities

ONGCs, Vedanta, Gail and some other companies also give internship opportunities based on field in which student is interested. And most of them are stipend based. In 6-7 semesters the student are given a project which is from their field. and everyone has to make it.

Placement Experience

The placement of the college is quite good means high for CSE, IT and ECE but also quite good for Mechanical and Civil and not so good for Chemical and Metallurgy. The highest package is 43 lpa and an average of 9lpa. 70-80% of students get placed easily. I will go for GATE to join PSUs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are not so high means a percentage of relief is given to many students according to reservation like for sc, st and pwd 100%relief on tuition fees and all other reliefs are given according to the income certificate of the family.

Campus Life

In our college, there are so many fests happening but the main tech fest is Techvaganza and so many others like Sargam. Books are available in limited quantities. Classrooms are full of ACs and fans with smart boards. Almost all sports are played here like cricket, badminton, football, volleyball, tennis, table tennis etc There are so many groups like automobiles, soap boxes, coding mafia etc.

Hostel Facilities

The room is big but there are more numbers of students in the room nearly 5 for 1 and 2 years but it will change in a few years due construction of the mega hostel. You can directly apply for a hostel when you will come here and fees are affordable. In the locality, there are few PGs in which we can stay.

Hostel Fee: INR 16000 per year

Admission

The student should have a minimum of 75% in 12 to apply for JEE Mains, so College He can apply for college according to JEE Mains score. The application form is available on Josaa and Csab. The reservation benefits are available according to the student category. The admission process is good.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Companies like IBM, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DELOITTE, CGEGG, HONDA, NTPC, ACCENTURE are the top recruiters. The highest package was of 36.5 LPA and the average is 11.5LPA in the year 2023. Placement Experience:

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Nit Srinagar the heaven

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th. A score of 96 - 97 p;ercentile is enough for an OB/C or General student and 93% -90 perccentile for SC / ST students.
