Likes

wifi is good and speed is pretty decent and provided at all locations in campus
there are night canteens available open till late night
library is full of interesting books and we get full access of library

Dislikes

maintenance system is poor and documents work is very delayed
campus location is in outskirts so sometime students find it difficult to reach
limited accommodation is available so students have to face difficulty

Course Curriculum Overview

I have a keen interest in technology and faculty to student ratio is good, faculty is well educated and there is 1 mid-semester exam and an end-semester exam and grading is done using cgpa criterion and exams are moderately tough.

Internships Opportunities

various internship opportunities are provided to students but these are certainly limited to cse, it, and ece branches so the rest of other branches face difficulty to get an internship at the college form which contacts companies for internships.

Placement Experience

placements are pretty decent average package of college is 14lpa and major recruiters are Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, and Wipro and there is training and placement which help students in getting placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

fee for income above 5 lac 1,76,000 per annum, fee for income between 5lac to 1lac 95000 per annum, fee for sc/st/income less than 1lac 50000 per annum, there are various scholarships for economically backward students.

Campus Life

social life is good various cultural fest is being occurred time to time like utkansh, techniti and bharatdhwani and freshers party and farewell parties are also organized by students there are very large no of technical, social and cultural clubs.

Admission

you have to clear min cutoff in jee mains in order to get eligible for josaa counseling and you have to fill desired college as your choice after 7 rounds of counseling you will get the final college allotted to you and avail of benefits of reservation you have to submit category certificate.

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
