Remarks
The college is good. The infrastructure is great and the exposure is also appreciable. My overall experience with my friends, teachers and my studies is quite healthy and I think this college has helped in my overall development.
Entrance Preview
I got admission in this college based on my boards percentage. No, there was no interview as such. I chose this course because I wanted to prepare for further studies.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since B.Sc is a more theoretical course, practical learning is there but to a minimal extent. Yes, the college takes initiative for the students, but in the end it is up to the students to pursue practical training themselves.
Internships Opportunities
No, there was no internship provided by the college. The students have to look for it themselves. I have not participated in any internship so far.
Placement Experience
The placement scenario is decent. Since, in B.Sc most of the students prepare for either UPSC examinations, MBA, or other exams, the avoid participating in placement activities. The placement rate among the participating students is 60% though with an average package of 4.5 lakh per annum.
College Events
Being a DU student, fests are quite common for me. Our college's fest 'Renaissance' is considered to be the biggest fest of North Campus, with an average footfall of 15000-20000. The college authorities do support the organization of the fest. The organizing committee comprises entirely of students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very much affordable. Rs. 12000 per year. This is just the tuition fees though. Those who live in hostels have to pay more (the details of which are unknown to me).
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I was not eligible for any scholarship in college, so I don't have much idea about this.
Campus Life
I think any college of DU is great when it comes to extracurriculars. The opportunities provided are plenty and the facilities are quite appreciable.
Hostel Facilities
No, I am not residing in a hostel. The rooms depend. They can either be single or sharing as well depending on the availability. I do not have much idea about the hostel and food bill.
Alumni/Alumna
There is no such platform for student-alumni interaction. The alumni, though, frequently visit the college and meet the teachers and students. Talking to an alumni always helps as they are experienced in the same field and can tell us about all ups and downs which we are yet to face.
Exam Structure
Absolutely a chill culture. No issue of attendance in DU.
Faculty
The faculty is very much experienced and interactive. They promote holistic development of the students by encouraging them to participate in extra-curricular activities. The standard of teaching is also good.
