Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because the computer science department is an in-demand branch and Rgipt is a central government-owned college. Student-faculty ratio is good. There is a very good bond between students and teachers and every student has enough time to interact with the teachers they want. Almost all teachers are passed out from IITs and are excellent in their domains. There are two exams mid and end of each semester for 6 months. The exams are quite conceptual but if you study average then you gone burst the exams.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Not many companies but some average companies come and give internships. The projects are described by the companies themselves. There are not so many placements and internships in this college as there are only 3 years to introduce tech branches in this college.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placements fron 4th year but they can do internships from 2nd year onwards as the college gives 3 months of vacation. Till now Tech field has had no placements this year our first CS batch reaches its final year but many students got internships and colleges also sign MOU with Microsoft. College got many high packages in petro and chemical branch approx 22 lakhs to 25 lakhs with an average of 10 lakhs in chemical and petroleum engineering. In chemistry, almost 100% of students got placed so the college has a good percentile in placement. I myself want to get a dream company job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is quite high. It is 133000 per sem in which hostels are included and 20000 extra mess charge per sem. There is merit cum means a scholarship given by the college itself on the basis of academic performance. Approx 25% of the academic fee is given back as a scholarship. Students may also avail of state scholarships if possible.

Campus Life

Kaltarang is our annual fest held in the month of December to February. There are intramural sports fests and tech fest Urjotsav held as per the college curriculum There is a large Library and a good amount of books there. There is a small but good campus with many good locations to sit. There are two to three sport fest held in our college. Some are intra branches and some are outside the college. Also have music clubs, dance clubs etc.

Admission

Students have to clear Jee Advanced and after advanced admissions college also takes admission from mains qualify students. The application form is on the official website... rgipt.ac.in Reservation is given as a fee benefit for sc/st not on the admission. The admission process is good.

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college are average and the students get decent packages. Students are eligible for the placements from the very beginning from the 7th semester. The companies visiting hbtu are samsung, exxonMobil, TCS, FMCG, IBM, Hindustan Unilever, Global Logic, Adobe, Paytm, HCL technologies, Nestle, Asian Paints, Britannia and Dabur etc. The highest placement was 32 lpa while the average was 7 lpa last year . Last year almost 75% of the students were placed. My plans are to take a good placement from the college and side by side i'm working on my startup idea as well .

Placement Experience:

Usually after 3rd sem, students star getting internships. And for compaines visiting our college, except amazon (they blacklisted us). Almost every top companies do visit the college. Highest package was 59LPA, and the average for cse is 12-13Lpa. 99% students get placements. Many students goes abroad for mtech after graduating from snu, i'd like to do the same but after getting a year or two job experience.

the placement of college is good because mid of 7th semester company visit in a campus and many comapnies are come in college like maruti suzuki, TATA, HERO motors,schlumberger ,crompton,tricolite ,cummins ,etc 40-50 company visit in campus and the heighest package is 12lpa and lowest is 3.6 lpa and the student have 60% in average of all 6 semester and 90% student have placed after the degree my plan is a good rank in GATE and masters from IIT colleges

An Honest Opinion for your future at RGIPT

This college was Central Government and was taking admission on the basis of JEE Advanced that are the only 2 reasons to take admission here. I got few colleges but I preferred this. RGIPT : An underrated college

The admission process included entrance exams like jee advanced and jee mains, but priority of jee advanced candidate is more and if seat remain vancant then it is filled through jee mains. I had applied many state government colleges like gurugram university, mdu rohtak, pec chandigarh, ymca faridabad, iist, iiser. Some of them are quite good but in terms of research and computer science engineering were not there so I freferred RGIPT. Our college accepts admission through JEE Advanced results but if seats remains vacant then it gets filled on the basis of JEE Mains score. Cutoff for JEE advanced is not specific but someone just qualified jee advanced then there is a high chance of getting admission here, and for jee mains, above 94 percentile is considered to be a safe score....Read More

I was getting a better branch in this collage with more opportunities. But when I saw my other college list that I got there was the lower branches. So instead of getting good colleges like IIITs and BIT Mesra and having lower branches. I choose to come to RGIPT which is also a reputed name but with a great booming branch.
