Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for physics because I was very curious and interested in the subject from the school itself. The faculty is awesome and experienced and supportive too. The ratio is good so we can focus on students individually also. Faculties are mostly Ph.D. holders from prestigious institutes like IITs or DU itself. Teaching is well in line with the syllabus and easily deliverable. Exams were always on time. The difficulty level depends on our preparedness. If we study in small slots each day we can get cgpa above 9 with ease.
Fees and Financial Aid
Being a government college, fees are nominal. We may get scholarships up to 60k per annum if we qualify for the same. The placement cell of the college gives you insights on job opportunities and exposure to new learnings.
Campus Life
Fests are held every year. College fest in February or March and similarly department-wise fests also occur as per their convenience. Other occasions like Diwali mela, holiday celebrations, etc. also occur. The library is supercooled and contains many many books satisfying our needs and curiosity. Classrooms contain projectors also along with good spacious rooms. NSS and NCC are the most popular extracurricular activities opted for us. Besides it, there are many societies like dancing robotics, etc. There are many social groups run by students for students like donation gatherings.
Admission
The cut-off remains above 94%. We must possess relevant certificates like the 10th mark sheet, 12th mark sheet, domicile, caste certificate if applicable, and birth certificate, I'd proof like an aadhar card. The application form is available on Miranda House's official website or can be collected physically from Miranda House's office. The fee structure is also available course-wise on the official website along with dates. The reservation benefit is that you get 1-2% less cut-off for admission. The admission process is a bit cumbersome and might have to stand in queues for a long but again it gives us experience and exposure to the journey of becoming independent and self-reliant.
