Likes

Good infrastructure well maintained lecture rooms.
Timing is good and convinent , Labs are well equipped with modern instruments.
Campus area is clean and well maintained and always there is development.

Dislikes

Canteen are very limited things have limited choices.
College is outside the city and station is far.
Mess meal should be improved and better and quality improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose it because I have an interest in civil engineering. 1:30 faculty-to-student ratio. All faculty are well qualified and use advanced methods of the team. Exams are held twice a semester from 2023 onwards and are very easy to pass if u study Normally.

Internships Opportunities

The college typically invites companies from different sectors to offer internships to its students. Some common companies that may offer internships at NIT Jalandhar include: Tata Motors, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organization), Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).

Placement Experience

From the 6th and 7th sem onwards students become eligible for placement. Many companies visit like Amazon, L&T, and other basic companies visit. The average package is 7 lakhs civil in 2023. Up to 75% of students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are different fee structures for students based on their family annual income students with annual income less than 1 lakh have 0 tuition fees. There are many scholarship schemes available for central and state governments.

Campus Life

Techriti, Bharat Bhawan, Utkarsh. Utkarsh: Utkarsh is the annual cultural fest of NIT Jalandhar. It usually takes place in the month of February. TechNITi: TechNITi is the annual technical festival organized by NIT Jalandhar. It typically occurs in the month of March.

Hostel Facilities

One bed one chair and one table are provided u have to buy a bedsheet and mattress yourself. Meal quality is not so good menu has decent choices registration is simple and affordable. Bandipur maqsudda is a nearby place where u cat rent rooms.

Hostel Fee: INR 24500 per year

Admission

I give JEE mains and got 96 percentile. You may apply for JEE mains exam and give the exam after that counseling will take place to apply for college. JOSSA will allot u a seat based on your percentile and after that, u have to pay a fee to confirm your seat.

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

The course curriculum is interactive and have added various new thing like in the engineering graphics subject they have added the software like autocad instead of traditional drawings... And in eme they provide the real life assignments projects . The exams are of approx 3 hrs and difficulty level is what that is taught in class

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
