Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as I have an interest in accounting and finance. The faculty is good and the faculty to student is a healthy ratio. Most of the faculty have done their PG from some of India's top universities. Due to a delay in CUET results, the semester exams had to be conducted within 4 months rather than a 6 month semester.

Internships Opportunities

The college offers various internship opportunities to its students. The most common roles offered are Finance Intern, Content Writer Intern, and Campus Ambassador Intern. The top companies which offer internships include Collegedunia, Dabur, and Outlook Magazine.

Placement Experience

Placements are offered at the college. The College has its Placement Cell called- THE AVENUES. Students from the First semester are eligible to take up internships in various companies with the internships being unpaid or even paid at times.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of colleges at the University of Delhi are very nominal. The fee of my college too is nominal and ranges between 10k-14k. Students can apply for scholarships on the Delhi University page and can get many other scholarships such as the Vice Chancellors' scholarship program.

Campus Life

The life at the campus is good with a very diverse crowd. It has a Library with thousands of books from different genres. It has a sports ground, cricket nets, a basketball court, a badminton court, a volleyball court, and a boxing ring.

Admission

I had given the CUET entrance exam, and the admission process was smooth but took a lot of time. There were multiple errors in the answer key and rectification led to a very long admission time. The application form can be found on the CUET-UG website.

Placement Experience:

A Balanced College Experience with Supportive Faculty

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college.The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .

Why DU has the best college life

Placement Experience:

I chose it over others since it's the only north campus college with a good reputation and name providing Political Science Honours other than Hindu college , I preferred Hindu over it but due to inadequate marks I couldn't qualify for Hindu . And being a male limits my scope of availing colleges like Miranda House or LSR . My journey at Kirori Mal college

Ok so I have a whole journey of my admission process . In the first round of my allocation i got confirmed admission in hansraj college for history hons then I applied for upgradation n then I got miranda house for same course but I was not happy with my course n then in round 3 under cw category I got pol science hons in kmc college I know I have already got good colleges in initial round but for my preferred course I decided to sacrifice my colleges . The admission process of kmc is quite smooth like within half of a day I got my admission confirmed there n even after coming late they reopen their erp portal for choosing different papers for those students who got upgradation in later rounds ....Read More

My Experience at KMC

I applied to ipmat program of iim indore which is a tough exam as it offers ba+mba in iim indore and pursuing mba from iim indore is one of the best thing that a student can pursue, i cleared cutoff of short answer and mcqs but couldnt clear the cutoff of english which is surprising for me also, A student have to appear for cuet examination and clear the cutoff in order to get admission in KMC, cutoff for general was around 740 in first round for mathematics honours and exams accepted was english, maths and 2 other domain subject...Read More
