Vivek Kumar Mehta's Review On Swami Shraddhanand College, New Delhi

This college is so beautiful and picturesque. Here every senior batch is so helpful that is outstanding and unexpected. It's a wonderful journey, I have ever been through. And this will be a mesmerizing moment for me forever. My overall experience in this college is the time worth valuable. I can never forget my first day of college where I was welcomed in this college by our third year seniors as I was their small brother. They made me feel comfortable in this college. I'm really grateful that I am reading in such a great institution

To get into college , we had to bring a good percentage in 12th board examination. I have opted this course because I have to appear UPSC Examination, and it's an interesting subject to me.

I chosen History Hons, and it's really good. Oh! Our lecturer and teachers are mainly focused upon practical learning. Recently they took us on tour around Taj Mahal, and visit of mostly all architectural monuments, building and, historical sites of Delhi. Moreover we had currently a seminar with a famous historian Prof. Najaf Haider of JNU.

Yes, this college also provide an internship to various renowned companies.

Placement is all about our completion of education, and the Hons which I have opted, we shall have to complete our MA from another university. Otherwise in other Hons or subject most of the students secured a good placement and live their life happily. About 80-85% students got placement from here. The major companies which comes here are Godrej, Vipro, BHEL, NPCL, Microsoft, and pharma companies are Cipla, Sun pharma and many more. The package is around 7-8 lakh per annum.

Almost every month with respect to different Hons subject there is a seminar held in our campus. And there are exhibition of different field study related to physics and chemistry and many more. There are cultural activities which held in our college as fresher party, celebration of Gandhi jayanti, Teachers day, Independence day, Republic day, and Managerial fest also organised in the campus. Seminar took place in a large seminar hall ,well decorated and fully equipped with new and advanced technology. The other events organised in full enthusiasm and they are celebrated in our large and big ground. Yes, the authorities had a great helping hand in these celebration.

I'm glad to mention that the fee structure of this college is affordable. It's about 10000 per year.

Scholarships are provided to meritorious students and were always on offered to be availed under different conditions like Under sports quota, for excellent academic records, etc. I didn't avail any scholarship as per now. But hopefully very soon. Yes, our college helps students in getting loan.

In extracurricular and co-curricullar activities our college is in topmost rank. Here every teachers are available where by any students can avail of, what they wish to be. We have dancing, singing, painting, debate, declamation, and all games facilities. Yes, I've got the opportunity to avail myself in painting and in playing basketball .

Sorry! but it's the only thing that hurts me. As there is no own hostel of this college. So I had to reside somewhere outside in PG.

Interaction with alumni is a wonderful platform where one can know what to do ahead in their life. So whenever I get this type of opportunities I just grab it. Yes our college provide such platform as like in seminar hall, we had students-alumni interaction which was awesome. Yes, those alumni who are in well positioned provide scholarship to toppers. And some alumni motivates us to remain intact with our inner inspiration and helps us when we need so. They remain in touch with us.

Being a fresher of college, as I have heard and told by our senior most students that , there is nothing to worry regarding to our Hons paper. Because the way teachers taught us, nothing is there which we will face difficult during exam time. And I hope so, as I have seen and feel myself that teaching way. So I could only say that here exam is nothing like a burden.

If I talk about their qualifications then it can only be judged by a student according to their teaching methodology and and relation as every students are their own children and make each one of us feel comfortable in the class. They didn't let us feel bored in the class. Their interaction with students seems more like a friend. They correlates every topic with today's scenario, that's what I believe is a most interactive way of teaching and making every students relaxed in the class. Through this we remain updated with current scenario and general knowledge. Most of the time, we organise debate and discussion in the classroom related to topics with our venerable teachers. They support us in every field. They also suggest us to focus upon overall development, and share several ideas and different dimension related to that. I wish to say that, they are extremely talented, well qualified and, most experienced teachers I ever met.
