I like campus structure, very romantic atmosphere
There is big library, all syllubus books available so no need to buy for exam preparation
Hostel and canteen, because tasty food available everywhere

Dislikes

Almost all arts programs conducted at night so I can't enjoy

I wanted to be a software engineer thats why I prefer computer science. We were 32 students. All teachers are highly qualified, phd holders. Syllubus compritively tough, so we should prepare well for the exam

I don't get the job through campus interview. I attended South indian bank interview from college. From 7th semester students become eligible for campus interview.after B tech, i join php codeigniter course and got job.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have obc category scholorship, so i need to pay only hostel fee and bus fee. All students should give bus fee.SE ST students didn't even have to pay hostel fees.There is campus interview, company offering more than 25000

Campus Life

Campus provide very good atmosphere, there is big sports ground, canteen, library, open auditorium. College have very attractive infrastructure. There is modern lab facilities for seperate department.All classrooms are smart rooms

Hostel Facilities

College hostel available for all students, there is two block, one block is new. Menu changing every month because final year students decide menu. Breafast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner available

Hostel Fee: INR 2500 per year

Admission

I just start entrance preparation with plus two tuition, after plus two wrote kerala entrance. I got 6570 rank. First got admission in govt. Engineering college, wayanad. In second alotment, I got admission at Kannur govt. Engineering college

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

Remarks:

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.

An honest review of GCE KANNUR by a student

The college is merit based admission college, to get admission in this college you have to write an entrance exam which is KEAM and I have a rank of 16000 in KEAM So the college I first confirmed admission was GEC Kozhikode which was a good college but the campus was too small so there was a spot admission which was held by GCE kannur and I applied for it The admission process is managed by KEAM they give you a date to take admission and the process gets done in 2hrs you have to be physically present with your parents , The overall admission experience was smooth and well managed by the faculties...Read More
