Amazing campus Life at NITJ

First year curriculum is same for all branches .Course involves a lot of mechanical subjects like strength of materails , theory of machines , design of machine elements as well as management subjects such supply chain management , manegerial statistics , entrepnuership etc. The faculty to student ratio is almost 1:15 in our department and all of the faculty members hold PHD in their respective fields.All of them have their own teaching methods. Minor Exams happen 2 times a semester with one end semester examination which are moderately difficult to pass.

College has compulsory 6 months internship policy in which all students in their summer vacation after the end of their third year have to do one internship.Moreover companies like Microsoft and amazon do come for taking students as their interns.

Students become available for campus placemnts in their 7th semester and mostly all big tech companies such as google microsoft amazon and startups such as flipkart , cred and core comapnies such as Trident , BPCL etc. visit the campus . This year till now more than 704 students have been placed out of 950 total eligible students .Google giving the highest domestic pakage of 64 lacks .About 90% of all the students get placed .Iam also looking forward to get a campus placement in technical role.

Fees structure for the Btech programme is fixed 62500 tution fees every semester with 25500 extra charges for general candiatates having income above 5 lakh per annum . For SC ST and students whose family income is less than 1 lakh per annum whole of the tution fees is waived . For family income between 1-5 lakhs per annum , two thirds of tution fees is wavied. Moreover many schloarships are also available such as MCM schlorship.

The campus has some of the amzing events namely Utkansh(Cultural fest) in march, Techniti(Technial fest) in feburary and Bharat Dhawani(Foundation day) in october and some other Sports events. Library is open from 9am-9pm on all working days . The classrooms are fully AC with projectors. Moreover there are a lot of social clubs such as criminalz and SI Crew (dance clubs) , LADC and Zeal (Debate clubs) , E-Cell , Robotics Club , Ecastasy club (fashion club) , Developers software club and coding clubs are also run by students.

The hostel rooms are have furnished beds, a table and a chair. In the mess , a variety of food dishes are available throughout the week (both north and south indain dishes) and the quality of food is good . The hostel+mess fees is 25000 per semester and rooms are available for all students.

My admission into Dr BR Ambedkar national institute of technology was through JEE Main entrance examination and 6 rounds of JOSSA (Joint seat allocation authority ) which was completely online. I filled the application form at NTA 's official website with application fees of 650 Rs. I got 92.6 percentile (63668 rank) and had an home state Quota becuse i was punjab domicile.
