Likes
- Faculties are very helpful. They usually give good marks in internal exams.
- Central library is good. It is a good place for self study.
- This is not too much pressure for attendance, but have too attend practical classes
Dislikes
- The campus is not big enough, for sport like football and cricket we have to play in other ground outside the campus
- There is restricted for dress. You have to be in college only.
Course Curriculum Overview
Basically, I am interested in CS so I choose this course. Faculty members are good, most of them hold M.tech degrees from JU, IIEST Shibpur, and Nit Durgapur and some of them are PhD degree holders from JU. It is easy to pass term exams. Also, faculty members are friendly too.
Internships Opportunities
During the 6th semester, small startups visit campus for internships for 3 to 4 months, later they convert this to full-time. They use to pay 20k to 30k per month. But mostly students apply for off-campus internships during the 4th and 5th semesters.
Placement Experience
Usually, companies visit campus during the 6th semester. Most companies are services-based companies like Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, etc. In product-based, byju's, Amazon, Accenture, etc visit. The highest package is 18 LPA. Almost 90% of students are placed through campus placement. And also students write the gate exam for a master's degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are not too high. It is below 50K per semester. There are a couple of scholarships like TFW and the Swami Vivekananda scholarships. These are state government scholarships. In tfw, the candidate has to pay only 30k at the admission time for 4 years. And through Swami Vivekananda scholarship one can get a scholarship of 60k per year for 4 years.
Campus Life
In college, there is a big support for football and cricket. There are numerous clubs for song, drama, dance, and sports. And the college has a big central library which contains a large number of books for Computer science subjects, and management courses.
Admission
Admission through both WBJEE & JEE MAIN. 80 % through WBJEE, 10% through Jee main and the remaining through management quota. Admission through WBJEE counselling for both WBJEE and JEE. And for management quota, contact to office.
