Remarks

the college is, as a whole one of the best colleges of Mumbai and i wouldn't give up being an HRite for anything else in this world it has definitely given me lot to learn and enjoy until the 3 years that i have spent here.

Entrance Preview

I had to give my 10th standard ICSE exams to get into HR college of commerce and economics. The cut off was high and i could get in only after the third list came out. I was one of the last people to get admission in the open category.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

the course curriculum isn't that good but for the standards of an average student it is sufficient. I wouldn't call the curricular tough or not even competitive but its great to learn. The topics are very interesting for me personally since I am very passionate about finance.

Internships Opportunities

the internships are great but the process is competitive, it is difficult to get into a good internship but i am sure those who get in will have a good stipend since the companies which come for placements are well known.

College Events

4

the rose day, the hr fest, the several dance and singing events along with quiz and several other elocution competitions are held in the campus of hr college. it gives you a feel of a good college and so does it give you a vibe that my college is happening. I haven't attended that many events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

the fees are very affordable. its maximum of rs 4000 for the entire semester. There is hardly any cost for the education and i thank the ministry of education and the Mumbai university for this cost reduction in the education on basic degrees which means getting a basic graduation from the college

Campus Life

3

the campus not all that great since its a small area but there are activities which are going on all the time and one would definitely love to participate since they aren't boring as such. They college is collectively a very happening place and many student clubs are doing one or the other event everyday.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel for our college does not exist. and the canteen isn't that great. it used to be tasty but now it isn't available and the canteen is very untidy and unhygienic. I wouldn't eat the food if i saw how it was being made. I really think that the management should consider cleaning up and revamping the entire canteen facility in the college area. it is pathetic.

Exam Structure

the exam structure is 7 subjects which are compulsory with the Mumbai university and these subjects are very common and easy to study. these subjects are the ones which all colleges have. the 100 mark papers are competitive and difficult so you have to start preparing early.

Admission

It was an online admission process.I got a notification on my email that there is a seat assigned. In which i went there and then i could register in the college.the students assisted in getting the admission and within 2 hours I was a student of Hr college. I got my project books and also the ID card on the first day, I got a brochure and all the details.

Faculty

4.5

the faculty of my college is superb. I think i cant think of any other college that has better faculty and more friendly teachers in all of Bombay. Its great to have highly qualified and smart professors. In fact they are understanding and easy to deal with rather than those rigid professors with uncanny mindsets.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Placement Experience:

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.

Placement Experience:

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
