Remarks

Good remarks are there that the placements are overall good and there is not so worrying about the attendance and there are lot of facilities that you get as part of this central university like free WiFi free medical services and sports facilities the sports stadium is I can say of international level you wi love it when you will see. Bad remarks is this that the management is not so good there is not proper utilization of the fund given by the central government and there are lot of flaws in the management system.

Entrance Preview

I gave Jee Main and Advanced and my score was 180 in Jee mains and with that score I have got admission in this college. My only choice for the course was Computer Engineering and I got my preferred course here and also because of the reputation of the college and it's placements and very less fees attracted me towards this college and day per day the college is growing recently It has made in the world Rank lists of institutions being in 18 position out of 42 from our Country.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course is very much similar to the course which is taught in many of the universities and colleges but there are some additional topics which are there like short course on nanotechnology and all. There are credits assigned to each of the subjects and marks are according to that credit.Overall the course structure is good.

Internships Opportunities

Yes our college provide internships most of them are generally in the startups and stipend are good and every year there is an internship Fair in the college which is open to students of all colleges

Placement Experience

4.5

Placments in our college is quite good many reputed companies visit our campus during campus placements.Placements are highest in Computer Engineering then followed by Electronics and Electrical then Civil and mechanical engineering. In Computer Engineering in a batch of 70 students there are more than 100 placement offers.Highest placement offer till now in our college is 38 lac per annum offered by Works application. So provided a student is good or more than average he can at least get a job offer but if he's a good student he/she can get a decent placement offer.

College Events

4

Every department has its own fest. Our engineering department has also a fest each year organised by CSI and IEEE having tech events and cultural events.Annual fest like Algorhythm is celebrated each year but there are no live concert shows or something like that in this college which is a very sad part of the fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is one of the most interesting part of this college it's just 10,850 in 1st year followed by 8000 each year. Yes you heard right fees is very much low as compared to other colleges and everyone gets surprised when they listen to the fees.Fees of the institution is low because it's a central university and receives a quite good budget from the central government and it also receives many donations from Arab countries as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships available in the college like MOMA Scholarship and many more but most of them are for minorities and for them whose family income is very low so if you are from a minority and have a low family income you have variety of scholarships available for you.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is overall good, enjoyable because in the institute there is not so much worrying about the attendance so you get good amount of time for other things as well.Girls in engineering faculty are not so much but I guess that's the situation with every engineering college but in other faculties there are many girls. There is a inter faculty sports tournament organised every year and every year JMI team participates in national university matches and lot of competition are held in each year. There are also programming competition held but they are not very often. And there are no robotics competition organised but JMI teams participate in robotics competition every year.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel and mess facilities are also good and it is also very much cheaper but the problem is that the seats are very less you will hardly get hostel until and unless you do not know someone from the college or live very far away. I can tell this much only because I don't live in hostel. As hostel seats are few thus there are lot of PGs and private hostel around there average cost of pg is around 7500 with all facilities but most of the students take room at rent in sharing and manage food and other things on their own and cost for that is around 7-8k per month.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is not so good as most of them are busy in their jobs and life and hardly communicate with people who are studying.Senior students are very helpful if you contact them they will definitely help you. Some of the alumni are regularly in touch with the people through Facebook page or any other social media platform and there are lot of efforts going on there to make the alumni network strong.

Exam Structure

Exam pattern is same as in all colleges in each semester there are two sessionals and a semester exam with sessionals having gap of one month and semester after 1 month of second sessionals.I am currently in second year and I can say that I hated lab the most because it was too boring and I never like going in lab specially in chemistry lab because nothing new was being taught just same thing what we have learned in 12th standard.

Admission

Firstly I have to fill the form and the admission was based on marks obtained by a student in Jee mains and then there was a list of students who were selected was out with their name and branch allotted and the shortlisted candidates have to submit their documents along with the fees and my name was their in the list and I submitted my documents and I got admission in there.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty are highly qualified specially the senior teachers and also have good teaching experience and are very good in teaching but some of the teachers which are new are not up to the mark i.e. they are not able to teach properly and does not have much experience in teaching but there are very few of these most of them are good and some are very good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
