Course Curriculum Overview

4

I opted for BSc maths hons as I want to pursue SSC CGL in the future so someone suggested I do so. But I have chosen this course because till 12th maths was calculative maths but while pursuing this I got to know it was all theory which I didn't like. Teachers were good while some were excellent at teaching these theories. Semester of 6 months was there total having 6 semesters. Exams were tough but if you study from the beginning you will pass easily.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Ceasefire was named company with 5.1 lac, which taught management, Cosmo feed company for creators with 4 LPA, DE Shaw India company, Avtar Asia with 6.1 LPA, and Mavens approached our college through the placement cell in the college. We have to join The Placement Cell Society for getting updates about these companies.

Placement Experience

2.5

Fintech, cosmos feed, etc. companies visited our college. Most students don't apply for any placements because they have further plans. Like I have to do upsc so I didn't apply. The highest package is 17.85 LPA and the average is 7.7 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees were not much as compared to other universities. It was around 13500 per year. I completed my BSc with a total fee of around 40000. I didn't apply for any scholarship. And also I don't applied for any job or placement because I didn't have to do it. But my batchmates also got jobs of around 5 LPA.

Campus Life

4.5

Milind Gaba came in 2019 but I didn't attend. The classrooms were ok type. As compared to my time now the college has improved in many facilities like sports new basketball ball ground has been made but there is no sports faculty. Many societies are there in college dance society named Vaayu, a maths society, a photography society, a fashion society, and many more.

Admission

In 2019 when I took admission to Motilal Nehru College the admission procedure was based on 12th marks so I got admission easily without any entrance exam. I fill up my form on the Delhi University official website, it was a very easy procedure if you filled everything right. I also applied OBC reservation. I think in 2nd cut-off I got my favorite course which is B.Sc. maths hons.

Other Applied Colleges

Indira Gandhi National Open University - [IGNOU] | Master of Science [M.Sc] (Mathematics)

As from starting i want to get admission in delhi university and now i want to do upsc so i opted for ignou for my masters.

I will rate 10 out of 7 to this course curriculum because in this course the experiment and lab works is too low as compare to another courses like biomedical science, bsc zoology and many more. But it's ok I'm happy with this course.

Companies that visit are Bain and Co., Urban Clap etc. average package is around 5 lakhs. My plans after getting the degree are getting into a master's programme and pursuing research.
