What Students Say
Likes
- The people in the college are really amazing and you learn a lot.
- The professors are really good and helpful.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is bad and one of the biggest turn-offs for students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good. The professors here are pretty good. In fact, one of my professors is now teaching at the prestigious FMS, Delhi, so you will have some of the best professors to learn from. The college followed the semester pattern and we had six semesters, 2 in each year. They are pretty easy to pass.
Internships Opportunities
You will have to apply for internships externally most of the time as they are not easily available through the college. Students usually go for courses from outside for skill development which helps them gain internships through platforms like Internshala, in marketing, content, and HR domain mostly.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for placements from the 5th semester. The placement opportunities are not very encouraging. Usually, students go for additional courses during college or for higher studies like CA and MBA. The college does organize job fairs etc. for the students but the placements are not more than 2.5-4 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is pretty relaxed, and it is one of the most affordable colleges in the country. The fees during my batch were around 21000 for the whole 3-year course. The toppers are provided with cash prizes at the end of the year, which is almost as good as a scholarship, given that the fees are pretty low, to begin with.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is pretty chill, and you will meet some of the sweetest people here. The teachers are friendly as well. Books are easily available in the library for the students to refer to. The infrastructure is pretty bad though. There is graffiti on the walls, the campus size is pretty small and the infrastructure is pretty old and outdated.
Admission
The admission process was based on the cut-off issued by Delhi University. Also, people with a non-math background could not apply for B.com(Hons); they had to go for B.com. The cutoff was also a bit lower for the female candidates. Now the admission to DU is through CUET so the cut-off list on the basis of 12th board exam marks is redundant.
