Sri Aurobindo College: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 22 Reviews

Admission to this college requires strong 12th board results and application through Delhi University, followed by multiple cut-off lists, initially around 95%. Essential documents are needed for admission, with fees paid after confirmation. Faculty are mostly well-regarded, offering personalized help, though some show less engagement. The BCom Hons course is well-structured, with practical applications and moderate exams. The affordable fee structure ranges from 6,000 to 8,000 INR annually, with B.Com (Hons) costing around 12,000 to 13,000 INR for the course, and an examination fee of 800 INR per semester.

No hostel facilities are offered, leading to additional living costs for non-local students. Placement opportunities vary, with packages from 3-13 lakhs INR per annum. About 60-80% of students receive placements, though rates differ by program. Notable recruiters include Ernst and Young and KPMG. Internships, often externally applied for, offer stipends from 2.5k to 20k INR per month. Scholarships based on performance and socioeconomic status are available, with cash rewards for top students.

Despite a gradual fee increase, costs remain low, supporting a good return on investment.

The fee structure is pretty relaxed, and it is one of the most affordable colleges in the country. The fees during my batch were around 21000 for the whole 3-year course. The toppers are provided with cash prizes at the end of the year, which is almost as good as a scholarship, given that the fees are pretty low, to begin with.
