The campus is full of greenery and canteens are available at every point.
Campus is fully Connected to WiFi facilities with unlimited data and high speed.

Dislikes

Study culture is not good as compared to Other Technical Institute.
Group among students can be seen, people from North has there own group, South students have there own group and locals have their own group

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course As I was interested to perform in core subjects. Here the Faculty students ratio for Engineering is 45:1 . Faculty are good and the teaching method is also average. Here exams are conducted thrice in a semester (Internal (20 marks), Mid sem (30 marks), and End sem(50 marks).

Internships Opportunities

Students can apply for internships ad many opportunities are provided here, Also there are many online modes through which one can get internships. Usually, 7th-semester students go for internships and most of them are paid.

Placement Experience

On on-campus placement, the cell is here which is capable of bringing many companies for placement inside the campus although the package is not high (4 to 5 lakh on average). One can prepare for govt jobs and can prepare for competitive exams also.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 50770 for Annul fees and for Hostelers it is around 30000 more per year, Scholarship is provided through NSP (around 5500?/year), Financial assistance is provided rarely, And no jobs on the campus.

Campus Life

Campus life is very interesting, There are many events and fest of different departments that keep happening. The library is available here and Campus is Provided with Wifi (High speed). Classes are equipped with smart boards and many clubs like drama club are run by students here.

Admission

I joined this institute through Jossa /Csab. The admission process was smooth but there is no benefit for Sc/St category in any fees. Bus facility is available here for both Hostelers and Day scholars. The campus is vast and has all types of Sports equipment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

NIT Silchar Review: Campus, Career and Career Prospects

Placement Experience:

NIT Silchar has decent placement stat. Approx 75 percent student got placement from campus and they got decent package. In NIT Silchar from 7th semester students are eligible for placement and company comes whole year for recruiting. Approx 100 company visit the college throughout the year. In tech Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart and more companies come. For core L&T, Adani, Tata Steel and more companies come. For service base Infosys, TCS, Wipro will come and give good offer. Highest package will come from tech company and that is 52lpa and average from all companies will lie from 10 to 12 lpa . My plans is that in my 4th year atleast I will get one job. If I don't get job then I will try from off campus or giving paper for government job

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

I want to apply to RTU ( RABINDRANATH TAGORE UNIVERSITY). But due to insufficient funds couldn't take addmission.
