Likes

DU, the name itself tells. The thing I liked at DU is it's colleges , they have been phenomenal.
Second thing I like about DU, is it's professors, they have been always supportive. They don't pressurise the Students for anything.
The friends you will find out at DU, will be for life. You will be an explorer along with them.

Dislikes

Admission process could be online, it will help ease the situation and not create a ruckus, during admission.
Second thing I disliked was the Hostels unavailablebility.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chosed this course because it opened my path a bit wide. I could choose from a set of subjects, in which to do PG from. The faculty student ratio is like if there are 60 students in practical. Group 1- 40 Students : 2 Teachers Group 2- 20 Students:1 Teachers >90% faculty are PhD scholars Exams have always been conducted regularly be it term examination or internal assessment. If you ask about its passing rate, it was quite easy to pass.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 14500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fee,if almost same as other DU colleges, there are many scholarships, which the college provides, after verification. Financial assistance is given to me needy. I actually didn't choose to go for any placements, as I had already planned for my studies.

Campus Life

The annual fest is Sabrang, which is conducted during early March, other than this during Diwali Pradeepan is conducted. The is no bound on books, there are various books in each field. The classrooms are decent. The new block has awesome classrooms and lecture theatres have ambient space. Sports is an essential part of the college, there are various sports played like Archery, boxing, weightlifting etc. And many extra curricular activities are done by different society's present in college. A college newspaper Deshbandhu Express is run by the college, and different society's social media groups.

Admission

Hi, I took admission at Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi in B.Sc. Life Sciences course. For opting this course,you need to be from Medical Stream. For admission you need to first apply at DU website, and after cut-off arrives fill form for the appropriate college. At last you need to visit for manual form filling and documents verification and your admission is secured. Any reservations have to be mentioned during filling DU form initially. It may be better if the documents could be verified online.

College life in Dyal Singh College

Campus Life:

The Fest organised by this college is Priyadarshini and the annual fest Rajnigandha. The Fest are not great in comparison to other du college and are not that much celebrated. There are many different kinds books present in library like literature,Hindi, Chemistry, Maths, zoology, biology, botany, political science, History Geography the books are only alloted till 12pm and only for 15 days after that you will be charged if book is not returned Sports and Extracurricular are good but classrooms are not that great most projectors in classrooms don't work . There are many good societies in college like jamini the art society and others but joining has caused students to leave their classes which affects them academically

KMC- Path to learn and grow

Placement Experience:

The placements cell Avenues regarding the placement offers coming to the college. Major companies of the job market come to the campus for recruitment like KPMG, deloitte, zepto, EY, ZS Associates and many more. The students from the final year itself gets eligible for placements. Around 30-40% students get the palcements through the placement drive. The highest package during the last palcement season was around 18 to 20LPA, while the average was 7 to 8LPA. I will certainly go for higher studies in operational research.

My honest experience at kirorimal college

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placement support in the 5th semester itself and 3rd semester for internship from the college. Well over 150+ companies visit our college because of the regirous efforts of our placement cell the highest package is 24lpa the average comes out between 5.5 to 6lpa Around 70 to 80 percentage of students get placed and after my graduation i plan to go for a MBA in finance.

The placements have been decent throughout the past years, around 40% of the students get placed through on campus placements. From the final year itself , the students are eligible for placements. The highest package went around 18-20 LPA while average package was around 5-6 LPA. While the packages are exceptionally high the companies that came for recruitment were also big firms like airtel, blinkit, zepto, EY, McKinsey, google, meta ,zoho, etc. The top positions that were offered included many interim heads and assisstant positions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mathematics as a subject is what i admire the most as it needs more critical thinking and solving rather than just cramming textbooks.The curriculum on the other hand does not really help to face the real life applications as the curriculum is pretty outdated and needs innovation.It can have more practicality and example based teaching.

Sri Aurobindo college : Go fir it

I gave CUET for admission in DU. Ofcourse I wanted a south or north campus college. My first choice was Sri Venkateswara College south campus as I've heard so many good things about it. But the eligibility criteria was too high I got 680/800 in CUET which I consider quite good but the eligibility criteria in that college was near 750-760. Bcom programme is quite popular so it doesn't have many seats. I got this college as last I wasn't so thrilled about it but yeah it's good.
