Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course is bcom programme. Bcom programme alone isn't enough to prepare you for the real world applications and it is not that much profitable in today's time . It has lost it's value so without any other skills, bcom programme alone isn't enough to get you a job. Exams happens 2 times an year not so difficult if you study from the start.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for per semester is 10,000. That makes it 20,000 a year which makes it quite affordable as it is a government college. Yes there are many benefits for categories such as less fees and all. There are many scholarships available for sports quota and more. I'm from general category so I don't know much about them.

Campus Life

3

There are many events and fests that happens in the college. The most prominent one is our yearly fest Mehak which happens in around feb and March. There are different fests for different societies too. Whole of feb and March goes into fests so it is quite nice. There are many sports and extracurricular activities provided. There are many societies you may choose one according to your interests. Honestly the infrastructure isn't that good. The benches are broken, pcs don't work and what not and that's honestly the only downside of this college.

Admission

I gave CUET for admission in DU. Ofcourse I wanted a south or north campus college. My first choice was Sri Venkateswara College south campus as I've heard so many good things about it. But the eligibility criteria was too high I got 680/800 in CUET which I consider quite good but the eligibility criteria in that college was near 750-760. Bcom programme is quite popular so it doesn't have many seats. I got this college as last I wasn't so thrilled about it but yeah it's good. Exams accepted for my college is CUET and cutoff for bcom programme goes around 680.

Faculty

4

There are many teachers for my course specifically. We have 5 ections for bcom prog. The teachers are quite nice and really good in their subject. Some teachers do not seem qualified enough though and it is harder to understand the subject because of that. The best faculty will be commerce because that's what I've heard most about. There are 2 sem exams in an year and assignments and practicals It's not that much hectic and quite easy

Night Life

4

As our college is located in a good area, Malviya nagar, the nightlife is quite good. There are many pgs and hostels located nearby. For morning students class ends at 3:15. There are many cafes around our college which is a good thing. Our college is located near some very famous hangout spots such as select city and hauz khas village so you can go and hangout with your friends after classes. The locality is quite good it is a well lit area. There is malviya market nearby too if you wanna go there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have done bcom programme from this college. This course is best in the way that it opens the doors for various paths, for example, CA, CS, CMA, Mcom, MBA, etc. So this course is relevant for almost every commerce student in today's time. Though the course curriculum is good, there are some improvements needed in teaching methods. Teachers should relate the topic with real world to give better understanding of the curriculum. The frequency and timing of exams are fine. No improvement needed in these.

When i was applying to the college i looked at the course structure and i thought its pretty good i would love to study this but the reality was completely different once i joined the college. i'd say couse just got rebranded via NEP but it's not worth at all to study this couse. i found zero relevence of this course in real world applications the entire course need to be re-structured as soon as possible its not worth at all to study subjects that makes no sense for Bcom srtudent

Some reputed recruiters include Deloitte, EY KPNG, Wipro, Accenture, and Genpact with average packages arranging from 4 to 6,00,00 per annum while a few students get higher offer, depending on skills and interest internships.
