Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I liked Economics and I had PCM in 12th so my interest was also aligning towards maths .I hate the compulsion of studing hindi and EVS as subjects like what is need of these.

Fees and Financial Aid

The registration fee for cuet for general ,OBC-NCL/EWS,and ST/SC categories have fees of Rs.1000,Rs.900,and Rs 800 respectively. Fee for 1yr of course at Gargi college is 18,615.College fees is affordable but because of south campus pg charge a very high fee .

Campus Life

4

Campus Life for me is a little bit boring.I like library of our college as it has variety of books and various subjects aligned sections. There are also NCLs also known as new computer labs with good facilities. You can play cricket, badminton, etc sports on campus.

Admission

I chose DU over BHU as it had better placement opportunities with 6avg and highest being 23 lakhs while bhu doesn't offer this much opportunities on ug level .I got Gargi in first round and I freezed it

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1 on 50 students kind of and it also depends on course you are pursuing. The faculty is nice expect one maths teacher who has been appointed 2 days ago.Exams are of good level and we also have regular class test.Disavantage is this rule of 75% attendance.

Night Life

4

We have library, nescafe and mother dairy where you can get icecreams and chill there.college gets closed at 5:30 so no night life .we also have a canteen which provides you with affordable food like 30 rupees for chole bhature etc

Other Applied Colleges

Banaras Hindu University - [BHU] | BA Program (political science+maths)

Because I was getting better opportunities in Delhi and better placement opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum overall as 7/10 for relevance, and 6.5/10 for comprehensiveness. The curriculum included practical / lab / workshop components, which promised hands?on experience. That was a big factor for me. I felt that I wouldn’t just learn theory, but also get to apply it. It offered some electives or optional subjects, so there is some flexibility to explore interests outside the core. The syllabus was fairly up?to?date in many subjects: courses include contemporary topics (to some extent) and recent tools or methods. It also seemed designed to allow further academic pursuit: good coverage of fundamentals makes it possible to do postgraduate work.

Placement Experience:

The placements cell Avenues regarding the placement offers coming to the college. Major companies of the job market come to the campus for recruitment like KPMG, deloitte, zepto, EY, ZS Associates and many more. The students from the final year itself gets eligible for placements. Around 30-40% students get the palcements through the placement drive. The highest package during the last palcement season was around 18 to 20LPA, while the average was 7 to 8LPA. I will certainly go for higher studies in operational research.
