Likes

The placements are average but higher than most of the colleges.
The faculty is quiet good and the teaching is average.
Due to the greenery in campus the atmosphere is great.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is average and so is the faculty. Teachers are well qualified, however, the teaching is average. English is used for teaching. The gender ratio is about 5:1. Unit test is taken after every unit.

Internships Opportunities

The college has some great internship opportunities for students. Various companies like Mercedes-Benz India, BSNL, and E-sys visited the campus. Most of the students get internships which are great compared to other SPPU colleges.

Placement Experience

The placements are average. The average package ranges between 4-5lpa. The highest package is 10LPA. Around 80% of students get placed. A total of 312 students got placed and 161 students got offers above 5LPA. Companies like Infosys, BGSW, and Atlas Copco visited the campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is like every other most of the colleges. Fee for general category is about 110000 and for EWS quota it is 60000(refer to college's official site for other categories fees). Many scholarships are available

Campus Life

The campus life is boring as the campus size is way too small. The library is okayish and consists of plenty of books. There are no sports amenities available in college which is irritating and only some environmental activities are taken.

Admission

I took admission through mht-cet. I scored 91.58%. I got entc branch and the cutoff was around 89-90%(general category). You need all the documents for admission (you can refer to YouTube for the documents needed). I got my admission through the EWS quota(the cutoff is almost similar to that of the general which was 89-90%). The admission process was smooth, didn't face any issues during the process.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. I chose this college because this college is very reputed in Pune for engineering specially electrical engineering. Admission process - You should apply through CAP process to get admission in this college. MHTCET + JEE, both scores can get you admitted in this college as there is also an all India quota. After the CAP processes are completed, you can also attend it's spot round as they are also conducted in a very systematic manner. Why this college over others? This is one of the top colleges In pune. This was the reason for me to choose this college. Comparing pvg with colleges like aissms, dy patil, modern, and many more pvg is far better in terms of placements. Didn't had the marks required to get to other colleges like vit viit pict coep pccoe etc so I choose pvg. I got a confirmed admission for keystone college but it is worse that pvg so I chose pvg. To get admission in pvg college you need to fill a form of cet. Mht cet is one of these examples. If you have passed 12th standard then apply for mht cet.
