- Campus life at IITD is something which anybody would love to experience.
- Unlike most colleges there are no restrictions for girls, everyone are treated equal and are given equal importance
- Existence of various clubs, like technical, cultural, sports etc.
Dislikes
- South Indian food is never available in mess
- Most Saturdays are declared as working days because of any holiday in weekdays
- 2 or 3 exams are conducted on same day (during minors)
Course Curriculum Overview
I personally feel Electrical engineering is a really interesting branch. We get to explore various fields within electrical engineering itself. The minimum educational qualification and experience required to become a professor here are Ph.D. with 10 years of experience in teaching or research fields. Their way of teaching is very good, where in a few cases they go to a really high level, which becomes difficult for us to understand quickly. It is the same case with exams, sometimes the question papers are very tough and the averages go really low. However, the grading system is relative for most of the courses(where few courses are graded absolutely, which is up to the professor's choice). We are supposed to give 2 minor exams and a final major exam for each course per semester, at times they conduct quizzes which will be included in the evaluation component, this is again based on the professor's will.
Placement Experience
There are a lot of companies which offer job opportunities in our college. the circuital branches are more benefitted from these. according to the data available, the highest annual package was 2.5cr, and the average package is 12lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of study for B.Tech courses is 1 lac(only tuition fee) per semester in general. Institute does not charge any tuition fee or charges 1/3rd of tuition fees accordingly for students with reservations or for those who need financial assistance based on annual family income. However, there are additional charges to be paid by all students.
Campus Life
Life at iitd is a whole new experience, we can do whatever we choose to do or whatever we are interested in, be it in academics or other cultural activities, our library has a good amount of required materials(textbooks, other reference books, journals, thesis papers etc) and the classrooms are designed in a way that every student is comfortable by placing 3 screens other than blackboards. Coming to clubs, there are many of them- cultural, sports, tech etc. Annual fest-rendezvous and tech fest-tryst are conducted yearly once most often in march month.
Hostel Facilities
few hostels in IITD are too old, however new hostels with much good infrastructure and facitilies like ac rooms etc., are constructed recently but most students stay in the old onces.mess ,menu is updated every month, but based on the food quality, mess fees is not reasonable, it is too high
Admission
Firstly, Candidates have to appear for and qualify for the JEE main examination to get eligibility to attempt JEE advanced examination. Those who qualify JEE advanced exam will have the chance to get into IIT through JOSAA counselling.
