Course Curriculum Overview
Life Sciences is the study of life which helps one to explore and touch upon various aspects of biological science and understand one's area of interest. Somebody who is interested in the field of research in biology should definitely pursue this course to understand deeply their area of interest. Miranda House has a beautiful campus and amazing teachers. The biology labs are well-equipped and the teachers are really knowledgeable and kind. There are 2 teachers per 50 students. The teachers are well qualified and mostly PhD holders in their subjects. The semester-end exams happen every 6 months and these can be easily passed if one is regular in classes and listen to their respective teachers.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for the course is almost Rs. 16,000 per year which is quite acceptable with all the laboratory equipment provided to us. There are various scholarships provided to students on the basis of their yearly family income and also on the basis of their merit.
Campus Life
Campus Life is a memorable one. It is fun and interesting out there in Miranda House. The red bricks hold up various beautiful stories about the memories of the students there. There are various clubs and societies on campus. The campus also has groups like NSS and NCC which come in collaboration with various other societies and then cause various social drives on the campus for the students to join in. We have Women Development Cell, Placement Cell, Drama Society, Classical and Western Dance society and Music Society which all functions beautifully. The library of Miranda House is the dream of all bookworms. There are all the books available most of the time and these books are easily accessible. There are sports clubs on campus as well. Many society fests, department fest and the one and only annual fest happens throughout the year. These are all colourful and well-planned. They are also executed properly and it is all fun during the fest season in our college.
Admission
The admission for the session 2021-22 happened on the basis of marks scored in the class 12th board exam. The eligibility of pursuing is having Physics Chemistry and mandatory Biology in class 12th and also having a deep interest in the subject of life sciences.
