Course Curriculum Overview
As per my AIR( all India rank ) I was allotted this branch, there are few professors with great knowledge and vast experience, and the teaching method is still of old standards which must be improved in my perspective, in a year there are 2 semesters, each having mid-semester and end semester exams, passing the exam is based on preparation level, if prepared well, even 2-day preparation can get you through the exams.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, companies do visit Nsut for giving internships, companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Flipkart, Expedia, sprinklr, and many more tech giants visit NSUT every year. Mostly Software Development profiles are offered by companies.
Placement Experience
In 7 semesters every student is eligible to appear for the placement drive. Companies start visiting NSUT for giving placements in various profiles from the month of August. Depending upon companies' requirements students of different branches are allowed, to keep a certain filtration of overall CGPA till the 6th semester. At the end of the placement drive, 70-80% of students get placement, where the average package is approximately 15 LPA for the Software Developer profile.
Fees and Financial Aid
yes NSUT is a bit expensive, despite being a government university, its fees are slightly on the higher side as compared to other universities in Delhi, for example, DU and IPU. On average annual fee is nearly 2.25 lacs. Although there are various scholarships run by Govt, through which students get some amount or sometimes the full amount of tuition fees back afterwards. The stats of on-campus speaks loud about the placements of nsut students.
Campus Life
MOKSHA is our annual cultural fest, whereas INOVISION is our tech fest, MOKSHA is conducted in the month of March. Usually, students prefer soft copies i.e pdf forms of books and youtube videos although the college has its own central library, which has enough space and well-maintained books covering vast topics and fields. The college has its own cricket ground, football ground, athletics track, kabbadi ground, volley ball court, badminton court, TT rooms, Gym, and other essential facilities for various other sports.
Admission
The admission process is based on the all-India rank secured in JEE mains examination, which is conducted twice a year. After the result, one must fill out the form released by JAC, through which choices are filled as per interest among the three top colleges of Delhi and the branches. There are reservations based on caste and also other parameters such as disability, army background, gender, and Delhi, and outside Delhi students. After the JAC form is filled, based on the individual's rank, he/she is allotted the college and the course in which reservations play a vital role. College is very good in terms of infrastructure, environment, etc only one change must be introduced if possible, i.e change in the syllabus and teaching standards, new technologies must be introduced and demanding subjects must be taught so that there is a minimum gap between the industry and college learning.
